WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Friday ruled against a California woman who said her rights were violated after federal officials refused to allow her husband into the country, in part, because of the way his tattoos were interpreted.
The 6-3 decision along ideological lines found that citizens don’t necessarily have the right to participate in federal government decisions about whether immigrant spouse can legally live in the U.S.
“While Congress has made it easier for spouses to immigrate... said Justice Amy Coney Barrett..it is a fallacy to leap from that premise to the conclusion that United States citizens have a fundamental right that can limit how Congress exercises the nation’s sovereign power to admit or exclude foreigners.....”

They’ve been separated for almost 10 yrs now since he was denied entry. Why didn’t she just join him in El Salvador or where ever if she loves him so much and her life has been so hard without him by her side?

My wife isn’t a US born native, we did the process the CORRECT way, and this ruling is absolutely in line with the way the USCIS works. They’re allowed (mandated even!) to make judgement calls on who gets into the country through the normal means. (Not counting the border).
This guy didn’t pass the checks, no entry. End of story. But she decided to try to go over their heads. I’d bet she first asked to speak to the manager.
Maybe she and whomever wanted to change policy for all thugs trying to enter?
