JUST IN: Major Development Hints At Trump’s Possible VP Pick (Burgum?)
Trending Politics ^ | 6/20/24

As supporters of former President Donald Trump anxiously await his selection for a vice presidential running mate, online sleuths have unearthed evidence of a website domain that may indicate his choice is already made.

Users of X on Thursday located a URL tying the former president to Doug Burgum, the popular governor of North Dakota and former Republican presidential candidate who self-funded his run before it came to an end late last year. The friendly, earnest midwestern governor has won plaudits for packaging the MAGA brand in a style that allies of Trump say will appeal to key voters he could struggle to win over in November, including suburban women. Philip Reichert with the American Conservation Coalition was the first to discover that www.trumpburgum.com is up and running and redirects to President Trump’s main campaign page.

He is OK by me we need an executive with business experience. I still love Byron Donalds though and would like to see him in the education department. His wife and sons are jewels.

I don’t. Elise Stefanik is of the same race. So are a lot of other people who are actually interesting and could be motivating to voters

You've got it backwards. Read the discussion thread, it is the Trump supporters dissing and dismissing anyone that ever quested or criticized Trump. Recognize that the rest of us are supporting Trump, that's been rather clear for weeks and months on FR. The problem is that few who won't move on, even where Trump has. Trump's made up with most everyone except Haley, Christie, Pence, etc. Otherwise, Trump has moved on, why can't some folks on FR as well.

Trump needs EVERY VOTE in November, dissing and dismissing groups, even openly saying their votes are not needed or wanted will lead to Trump's loss in November.

Carson is my pick. I’d take Vance 2nd.

Trump doesn’t need anybody to bring in new voters. He does that by himself. Of all the names that have been bandied about Burgum is the only one I’d give any credence to.

Personally I’d like to see Rand Paul on the ticket but that’s not likely to happen so Burgum isn’t a bad pick.

This is not a normal election. We have one shot left to save the Republic and Trump will only be serving one term. Plus, it promises to be a tight race. Not only that, Trump is effectively choosing a running mate who could be the next president.

This is an extraordinarily important election and he needs every single vote he can get. He must choose someone who can help sway independents, disaffected Dems and even some Republicans who are not strong Trump supporters. He absolutely needs a vote magnet.

Its a vital pick with no margin for error IMO. This is for all the marbles.

I'm not suggesting he pick Gabbard but do recall that Trump banned bump stocks. He's a moderate, she's more aligned with him at times that with conservatives. Besides, as VP she supports him, goes to funerals. And if she had to step in, she'd have to deal with Republican congress. Okay, guess that latter is not much of a threat since they roll over on just about everything.

We need someone like Gabbard that can help Trump. Who else fits that? Sanders? Maybe, she's come out untarnished from the Trump 1.0 and is now governor. Noem blew it.

Right. Plain brought in conservatives but not independents or dems.

Trump needs a VP that will bring in new voters>

Impossible. There is not a single politician alive who brings in more/additional new voters than Trump.

To be honest, Trump doesn’t NEED anyone.

Yes, but America NEEDS a young MAGA conservative who will seamlessly step into the White House in 5 years.

Not some older safe bet like Burgum

Bergum is no more self made than John Kennedy was. His Mother fronted his self made business, he is a Bill Gates acolyte who is locked on self interests. He is a friend of wealth and indifferent to the middle class. Little demonstrated interest in border security. NO! for VP.

Trump needs EVERY VOTE in November

************

Absolutely, that is simply a hard fact. Running two older white guys on the ticket isn’t going to help IMO. Rubio or Donalds would be better in terms of broadening voter appeal. JMHO
