WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Senate’s version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) includes a provision that would require women to register for Selective Service, marking a significant potential change in military policy.
On page three of the NDAA, under the heading of “Strengthening the Joint Force and Defense Workforce,” the Military Selective Service Act would be amended to require the registration of women for Selective Service.
While some lawmakers oppose the measure, others argue it would benefit the government. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) voiced his concerns during a committee meeting.
“I just think it’s wrong to say to women, ‘We’re going to involuntarily put you in the military.’ If they want to join voluntarily, that’s fantastic,” he said. “My sister proudly served in the United States Navy. There are so many women in the armed forces doing terrific work. Women have been part of the military since its founding, and that’s awesome. But that’s not what we’re talking about. They’re talking about drafting women involuntarily, and I’m totally opposed to that. I’m also worried about the expansion of the draft.”
In contrast, Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) supports the amendment.
“This amendment would purely cut the government red tape that exists and allow an important government office to be more efficient and save money for more American taxpayers,” she said.
The NDAA also includes a 4.5% raise for military members and a 2% raise for Department of Defense civilian workers.
Former first son Donald Trump Jr. criticized the move, stating, “Democrats want to draft your daughters to fight the wars that no one in America outside of the military industrial complex wants to be in.”

It’s bad to do it to men and I think it’s forbidden by the constitution. But it’s flat ass evil to do it to women. It would be hard to invent a method of further fracturing the family structures in America, and preventing new ones from appearing.
It’s also completely ineffective. Three or four years ago with the Marine Corps created two infantry companies. One of males, one of females. In every objective measure, endurance, marksmanship, injuries, sick call rate, mission objectives achieved, the males were utterly superior.
Furthermore that congresswoman Houlahan is another of those damn Ukrainians. So of course she wants to draft American kids both male and female to go fight for sacred Ukraine.

When the Constitution was written and adopted, some states allowed women and blacks to vote.

The amendment to the Constitution was needed to restore the rights the Democrats took that away from them in the early 1800s.
Men, on the other hand, could only vote if they owned property or joined the militia.
If I recall correctly, during one the 2016 Republican primary debates the candidates were asked about drafting women and all but one of the Rs raised their hand signifying they were for it.
Rubio specifically was for the stupid idea.

The draft is unconstitutional but let's draft Houlahan, Nuland, Nimrata Haley, and the rest of the XX warmongers and let them go fight in Ukraine.
The Kryptonite of accountability will prevent them from doing that.

I’ve never before (I think) commented on my active duty time.
I was 140-145 lb soaking wet and company grade officer. When supported by heavy weapons, I made it a point to hump the 81 mm baseplate. Thank god I had an RTO. I think my load was between 60 and 80 lbs minimum.
I understand that has increased by ca 20 lbs + rucksack in todays infantry.

My daughter has a good female friend who served in the army and experienced abuse and rape during her service. It is high probability and to me as a woman an unacceptable risk. I would go to battle any of these ahole political bturds if they try to put my grand daughters in danger!
