HOUSE RESOLUTION DECLARING THE JAN 6 COMMITTEE INVALID

The Republican majority in the House is razor thin. I doubt the resolution would pass the House. RINOs and TDS Republican House members would vote against any such resolution.

So when is the vote to invalidate the J6 taking place?

That is the big question, and no one will answer

Nanzi ripped that book to shreds during one of the SOTU addresses.

We watched it all on Tee Vee.

The DOJ has no dog in this fight. The DOJ is a creature of the Congress. It is getting ahead of its skis.

The DOJ is a creature of the EXECUTIVE branch, not the Legislative. They answer to the President (and formerly the Constitution). The Legislative branch merely has some limited oversight authority, but no way to enforce it when the Executive branch defies them. We used to call such a standoff a constitutional crisis, to be settled by the Judiciary branch. Now we call it Wednesday.

If they want to say their stupid little TV show committee was legit, then throw them in jail for destroying ALL of the so-called evidence from it.

Next big question, what new ammo does this give for immediate appeal of the conviction and sentencing of Bannon, Navarro and others?

“The DOJ is a creature of the EXECUTIVE branch, not the Legislative.”

You could not be more wrong.

From Wikipedia:

“On February 19, 1868, Lawrence introduced a bill in Congress to create the Department of Justice. President Ulysses S. Grant signed the bill into law on June 22, 1870.”

“ANd what branch of government is the DOJ? Back to civics 101 for you...”

Back to civis 099 for you.

You must be of slow understanding. I did not mention who the DOJ reports to. I merely stated that the Congress created the DOJ and can uncreate the DOJ. It matters not who the DOJ report to. Who it reports to is in the bill of creation.

Congress also created the Federal Judge system and districts that we have and the judges are in the chain of authority of the Supreme Court.

The US Marshal’s Service is a division of the Justice Department. The Justice Department is headed by the Attorney General, Merrick Garland. There’s no basis to arrest Holder regardless, since contempt citations expire with the Congress that passed them.

You are correct. Congress also controls their venue but don’t act.

Congress created it and courts other than the SC. They control their venues.

Maybe in some alternate reality the legislative branch has any control over the executive. In this world, the executive laughs in the face of the legislature. The idea that Merrick Garland answers to congress, or that congress could “uncreate” the DOJ is laughable, and has been for decades.
