The people who are always talking about “Our Democracy” seem pretty annoyed that the voters in each of the 50 states will now have a say in this matter.

The Tenth Amendment, and I quote - “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Nowhere in the Constitution is there ANY reference to medical conditions, nor the state of the health of any individual, nor any mention that such a set of circumstances should in any way be the concern of the United States government.
One may conclude, then, that if any of the several States should address the question of reproductive rights of individuals, any of the States may pursue the question, but it is of NO CONCERN to the Federal judiciary, or the Federal legislature, or the Executive of the Federal government. Any legislation regarding these matters is entirely the province of the several States, or the people.
Actually it is our interpretation of this:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,—That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government . . .”
We believe unborn life in the womb is innocent Life that needs Government instituted to protect that Life.

Freedom requires responsibility. Men and women engage in the act that is specifically designed to result in conception, then when they do conceive, they wonder what happened. Anyone old enough to engage in the act needs to do so responsibly. There are all kinds of ways to avoid conception, from abstinence to various contraceptives. (Yes, I know about the religious objections to contraception, but that is a topic for another discussion.) Teach young people that responsibility, instead of the joys of the various ways of hooking up. Give them what they need to have to be positive moral agents. Harris and her ilk are pushing freedom without responsibility. (They might even be motivated by the dough they get from the abortion industry.). That kind of "freedom" results in the death of innocent children , and the moral degradation of the parents and of society.

And like she said, abortions are abortion because you know we all need abortions and abortions are part of the community and the community needs to have abortions so that we can have the freedom to have more abortions because you know and then she laughs like a horse, …Because the yellow bus will bring you joy and to the clinic to have more abortions because it’s a community thing. Right there in the Bill of Rights along with the right of the adminstrative state to make up its own laws and threaten the Congress with arrest if they say anything about it and recuse any Supreme Court Justice who insists on reading the constitution according to the plain language of the document.
