Biden plans to announce new policy shielding undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens from deportation

On Tuesday, the Biden administration plans to announce an executive action protecting undocumented spouses of American citizens that would shield about 500,000 immigrants from deportation, according to four sources familiar with the matter.

“This is the biggest thing since DACA,” said one of the sources, an immigration advocate, adding that it was a smart political move by the Biden administration.

The program, known as “parole in place,” would also make it easier for some undocumented immigrants to get a green card and a path to U.S. citizenship.

The sources also say that the undocumented spouses would be allowed to obtain work permits on a case-by-case basis. Two of the sources said that the undocumented spouses will have to have lived in the U.S. and been married for at least 10 years before being eligible to apply for the work permit.

Three of the sources said that President Joe Biden will also announce a new action regarding DACA recipients who earned degrees in higher education and are seeking a job in that same field.

The moves are expected to be challenged in court.

Correct, but you dont need Joe Biden giving some of them Amnesty to do that. They will just vote illegally regardless.

Protect our elections by making sure only citizens vote.
The federal Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act would require states to obtain proof of citizenship when registering voters in federal elections.

It just gives them legal status, they dont have the right to vote in national elections. Doesnt mean they wont try, but legally they cant

Legally they cant buy marijuana but the states ignore that federal law. I doubt they will abide by the law you speak of.

Welfare offices and other agencies in 49 US states are providing voter registration forms to migrants without requiring proof of citizenship, leading Republicans and conservatives to call for swift federal action to stop the handouts.

Every state but Arizona — which recently passed a law barring the practice on state but not federal forms — gives applicants for either welfare benefits, driver’s licenses, or in some cases, mail-in ballots voter registration forms without demanding proof of citizenship.

There is currently no requirement on federal voting forms to provide proof of US citizenship, though it is illegal to falsely claim one is a citizen or for a non-citizen to cast a ballot in a federal election.

Yep. Joe has created a cottage industry of marriages that have the dates backdates to 12 years ago.

An "undocumented spouse" of an American citizen rammed her husband's car into my mom's unoccupied parked car years ago, causing thousands in damage, and drove off. Thankfully, a conscientious witness got the license number from the offending, unlicensed alien's vehicle. The American spouse disclaimed responsibility, and his insurance wouldn't pay the damages because he claims that he didn't give his wetback honey permission to drive his car. Therefore, mom's insurance company was on the hook for the damages, increasing her rates.

This was well before Biden or Trump, but the problem is only much worse these days.
