Sorry folks, I think I've created a monster. There's a difference between hard rules and soft guidelines. FR is intended for family audiences. Even though I'm a sailor and a sinner I know not to use the F bomb in mixed company. So do you.
But I think I effed up By isolating the sh word in a prior post. We all know that BS Is B S especially in politics. Even women and children know that BS is BS. No need to report it every time you see it. We're swamping our abuse reporting system. My own sainted mother was known to occasionally use the SH word and I know she's in heaven.
Same goes for salty abbreviations. If a kid doesn't know what snafu means he'll use Google and figure it out. So go easy on reporting that stuff OK.
I learned a long time ago that if you don't sweat the small stuff you'll be much more successful.
Sometimes bullshit is just BS and sometimes We're really in deepshit.
Yep. GTFO. And it puts a lot of pressure on the moderators thinking maybe they’re not doing their job.
Happens all the time.
It’s most likely the same people that have created some of the keyword for this post.
It makes damn good sense :)
I was always taught that, "salty language," was the appropriate term. A good cook knows just the right amount of salt to enhance the flavors of their food. Likewise, a good communicator knows when to sprinkle in a few off color terms for emphasis, humor, provocation or passion. Just as too much salt can render a feast inedible, too much foul language can drown out what may be otherwise valid communications.
Great analogy!
Years ago my wife told one of our kids not to use a swear word that she heard. The child said “Well dad swears!” (I’m thinking - hmm, maybe under my breath and she heard me.”
“Well, I don’t think so honey - what word was it?”
“It was the “s” word.”
(Not my go-to cuss word, but maybe???)
“Hmm - maybe, but I don’t think so? When did you hear me say it?”
“When you were talking about the dog!”
Now I’m really puzzled “What is the “s” word - it’s okay, you can say it.”
“You called him a stupid dog.”
“Oh that’s right. I forgot. That was mean of me. I won’t do it again.”
Best SpongeBob episode ever. I remember watching that and laughing with my daughter when she was young and my crabby ex-wife getting upset about it.

What was her *dolphin-chirp* problem?
Saw it when you first posted, a big change.
It'd be interesting to know who added "fakechristian".
My humorless ex-wife hated SpongeBob.
Well, George Patton said a fighting army needs eloquent profanity to be successful, if that can be applied here.
But I can’t really recall much eloquent profanity, except in Kenneth Robert’s novels. That man was good.
Patton once said that an officer should be able to give a 15 minute profanity laden dressing down of a subordinate without repeating a single profanity.
I don’t know but I guess I am a hypocrite And a fake Christian. A real Christian would probably not be running a political forum. And if I ever do it again I won’t I’ll be running a God centered Forum instead of a political form. Politics will be second stage. Thank God he’s forgiving.
Thanks Jim!

Maybe I shouldn’t have suggested that the CDC Pho Cough earlier today?
I was just doing a shorthand recommendation of Vietnamese soup for a cough.
Or something like that. Really.
