If they were going to make a change it seems it would have already happened. I suspect those discussions have already taken place and Biden’s ego may have flared up and said no.
Anything can happen but it seems more likely that they go with the old guy through this election cycle.

They are at least a year too late. They may decide to punt it with Joe, and come back hard in 2028 when there’s no incumbent.
