Former President Barack Obama despairs at the state of political discourse in 2024, telling some 80 digital content creators we live in a “cynical time” and he finds solace in watching sports instead.
The Hill reports Obama made his revelation at a glittering Biden campaign fundraiser with the president on Saturday in Los Angeles, telling a select group of TikTok and Instagram creators he understands the challenge “influencers” face avoiding politics in their work.
“We live in a cynical time,” Obama said. “Let’s face it: I think a lot of the people who watch you, listen to you, who are fans of you — a lot of times they feel turned off by the political discourse.”

Valarie Jarrett and her masters were/are the people deciding foreign and domestic policy for both Obama and Biden administrations. I think Barry was more in line with their ideology so he was good with it, and Joe is so mentally gone that the rare times he’s somewhat together he just does as he’s told.

Obama is a charasmatic person. He is very likeable in person.
So was Clinton, Reagan, Bush and almost all really good politicians. Biden is not. He is creepy.

Obama loved to watch SportsCenter on ESPN at night when he was POTUS. He likes to watch young men in their top physical shape run around.
He was always at his best when he was talking sports. Like when he threw out the first pitch at the World Series. Then visited Joe Buck and Tim McCarver in the booth between innings.
What is surprising is that he decided to keep a house in DC after his presidency. Why stay in DC unless you want to remain involved in politics.

Biden is probably the most impressive politican in modern American history. He did not have the skills others had. He did not really have any charisma. He was a typical politican from Delaware. One of 100 in the Senate. A nobody.
So how did he get in the White House?

He was a front man. A lot of opportunities just fell into his lap from Harvard, UChicago, the Chicago political machine, the DNC, Reid, Pelosi, and Schumer, the intelligence services, Soros and the other oligarchs, and now the entertainment industry.
