I expect that, in the very liberal CBA, the letter is hardly needed. Indeed, this letter is likely to be quite popular. Yet, I would have thought that CBA officials would have taken greater care to respect the divergent opinions on these trials and the need to avoid any statements that might chill the exercise of free speech.

Ironically, the letter only reinforced the view of a legal system that is maintaining a political orthodoxy and agenda. These officials declare that it is now unprofessional or reckless for lawyers to draw historical comparisons to show trials or to question the motives or ethics underlying these cases. They warn lawyers not to "sow distrust in the public for the courts where it does not belong." Yet, many believe that there is an alarming threat to our legal system and that distrust is warranted in light of prosecutions like the one in Manhattan.

There were two or three lawyers on the jury. They should be disbarred as “officers of the court” who had front row seats as judicial malfeasance was committed before their very eyes. The smiling juror should be taken over Bellevue for a psychiatric evaluation.

This is the Connecticut Bar Association’s version of a gag order for the entire American population. I hope the US Supreme Court will entertain the lawsuits against them for illegally nullifying the First Amendment.

Funny how The Big Guy's #3 guy at the Department of Just Us happened to quit his job in DC to take a job with the New York County (Manhattan) District Attorney's Office.

Bragg...and that #3 guy...should be called before a House Committee and asked many,many questions regarding that curious fact. And along with subpoenas for them...subpoena all records,communications,etc between Bragg and DC.

when a DA runs for office promising to GET someone of the opposite political party for “something” then what else could it be but partisan?

They picked the target (based on politics) then found the crime!

But the statute of limitations had run out on that crime... so! Simply extend it! Charge him and then put it back! (because we don’t want ANYONE else to get caught by such an extension!)
