9 or 10 shot at splash pad in Rochester Hills, Michigan, suspect fired around 28 shots, suspect contained in home nearby
I've never heard that term before either.
I never heard of one either. And?
Around here, water parks usually have slides, maybe a lazy river, some pools, life guards. Splash parks are for cooling off the urban youths.
Same with my neck of the woods. I didn’t know what a splash pad was either.
Prayers up for the victims. Sounds like it was another unhinged psycho.
Oh. An off-street open fire hydrant, then.
You’re a perfect example of everything that has become wrong with FR recently.

No drowning, but maybe some gun play. A fair trade-off, I suppose.
Yup.
RE: Instead, I’m from Minneapolis.
1) My sincere condolences. Stay safe.
2) Glad you are still allowed to write in English despite the Muslim waves coming in.
Demographics:
The Twin Cities, long a Democratic party stronghold, is home to one of the largest Somali-American populations, with upwards of 70,000, according to a non-profit, Minnesota Compass. The community says it has about 30 mosques, with 22 of them located in Minneapolis. The Guardian. Jun 29, 2023
Later Detroit Free Press:
The suspect is “contained” in a house within a half mile from the scene, Bouchard said.
Weird. “Contained.”
I was wondering the same thing, never having heard the term before, so I googled it. Took about 30 seconds and deprived someone of the chance to be snarky.
Who needs a clip that holds 200 shells?
A little fancier. At least before the vandals hit it.
Not everyone here is from Rudeville like you are.
That was the article I was going to post but FR says not allowed due to copyright so I linked Lookner
Are these a pool or just water shooting up from the concrete? I think the idea was to keep people from opening fire hydrants. They are typically in neighborhoods where you would expect people to open fire hydrants.
I’m in the AZ desert and they are all over the place in Phoenix and surrounding suburbs like Chandler or Gilbert. They’re usually in parks or outdoor shopping centers.
What is sad also is the vitriol spewed freely on the Religion Forum, and the moderators seem to tolerate it. Very un-Christian. I avoid it.
But yes, it’s all over the internet. Very little reasonable discussion, but lots of insults and the like.
The anonymity tends to bring out the worst in people.
