Authorities say gunfire was the cause of a fire Monday at a North Carolina power station that resulted in 730 customers to lose electricity.

Emergency crews responded to the problem as a fire and equipment failure on Duke Energy’s power distribution grid, which resulted in customers in the Durham area [losing power], according to the Associated Press.

The following day, the Durham Police Department responded to a call about damaged power equipment and was told the damage was the result of gunfire in the past week.

Transformers have temperature sensors that alarm. Someone would be sent out to check them. Hopefully before all the oil drains out and they overheat.

Drunk rednecks, teens having “fun”, or terrorist action?

I thought the same thing until I read it was Durham, NC. That’s one of those “urban” wonderlands.

Eh? The 30’ tall cinder block wall doesn’t suffice?

Our favorite hotel in Maine was purchased by a “Patel”, who thought he would run a hotel and Indian restaurant, Ledges by the Bay in Rockport (Rockport was the home of Andre, the Seal). Beautiful views, and what had been a decent breakfast nook. No more. The Curry smell permeates the entire place. There are lots of alternatives, but he “old” ledges was our favorite.

Speculation is so fun, it promotes hysteria. Terrorism, red nects, climate wackos.

How about Billy, trying to shoot his first sparrow 100 yards away and missing 23 times but not giving up.

Attaboy Billy!

The grounding transformer(s) would be the one to take out.

It’s Durham. Probably more like little DeMarcus trying out the Glock he found under his older brother, Tyree’s bed.

Nope.

They were shooting from the East on the side where Metcalf range is...

Basically an over watch shoot
