Great! I suppose he is personally running the paperwork over to release Navarro and Bannon....

Roseanne?

Although, she'd probably make for a more competent AG than what's in there now.

Checks and balances seems to be a foreign concept to the Biden Administration.

The executive office has no power over Congress.

I don't disagree with you, but there is also the implication that Congress cannot compel the DOJ to exercise its responsibilities except through impeachment or elimination of funding.

“Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon would like a word.”

Glad your comment was first in the thread, as it was the first thing that came to mind! What a sleazebag Garland has shown himself to be.

Congress needs to send over the Sergeant at Arms, cuff that punk, and throw his ass in the congressional pokey until he gives up the subpoenaed audio recordings.

There is no way the president is meant to have that power.

This would be a “constitutional crisis”

The legislative branch is meant to have oversight powers over the executive. If the executive can extend presidential privilege over anyone in the executive branch, it completely nullifies the checks and balances and lets the executive reign supreme.

Yup! Garland is a tyrant. Tyrants just make stuff up as they go. See what sticks.
I hope the Congress enforces the subpoena to get the unaltered audio. Otherwise...more of the same.

Garland isn’t the President’s personal lawyer, he’s his consigliere.

I agree...but not before we get a mug shot out of it.

As Jim Jorgan has already pointed out, Biden has already discussed this Hur interview publically so executive privilege doesn’t apply.

Why wait for Garland to go to Congress? Send the Capitol Police to arrest him at home, at the DoJ, or anywhere they find him. Better yet, cut off all spending by the DoJ until Garland surrenders himself to the Capitol Police.

That’s why Congress has their own police force and who’s in charge of that? Mike Johnson.

Do tell! Is this a sudden revelation to Garland?

It seems the DOJ had a different opinion just last week.

Or is this due to the newly constructed “Trump exception” to all laws and legal precedent?
