DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Automaker Stellantis is recalling more than 211,000 SUVs and pickup trucks due to a software issue with the braking systems.
The recall affects 2022 models of the Dodge Durango and Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks. The Ram 2500 is the model with by far the most vehicles impacted. Nearly 158,000 of the 2500 pickups will be recalled, while just over 500 Ram 3500s are affected. Around 53,000 Durangos will be recalled.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, many of these vehicles have a problem with the anti-lock braking control module, which could potentially lead to braking issues and accidents. Stellantis has stated that they are not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this problem.
Dealers will update the anti-lock braking control module software at no charge, with notices being mailed out starting July 26th.
they’ll want you to drop off your truck for like 6 months , LOL
Thank goodness Turkey quit making those old trucks that merely stopped when you stepped on the brake pedals.
Good. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bunch. Florida air-hauling punks with thousand-dollar rims. Tailgate you. Then run you off the road when you’re doing 15 mph over the speed limit. F ‘em.
If I could do without my truck for 6 months, I’d sell it!....................

The name Dodge is offensive because they used to hang people in Dodge City and the Dodge Brothers were white males.
I demand they change the name.
Durango? Cultural appropriation.

That’s Chrysler/Fiat/Citroen/Peugeot, but it sounds like it’s a hotel in the Bahamas.
Citroen used to make classic cars decades ago in Europe. When Peugeot was selling cars in the U.S back in the 80's they were crap and Fiat really never caught on the the U.S either with their tiny cars. All in all, they really haven't improved on any of these brands. Reminds me of our public school system, never improves.
To me, it sounds like a type of medication: "Ask your doctor or pharmacist if Stellantis is right for you."
Current Alfas and Masers are a huge improvement over what they were, in my opinion.
Over perhaps the last 5 years, now let's see what they do over the next 5-10.
I’m either living under a rock or so far in remote Alaska that I’ve never heard of stelantis or alfas or masers. Michigan was all I had to read...
No. They will tell you to keep driving it “until parts are available” that will take years.
I suspect it's short for Alpha Romeo and Maserati - Italian Cars.
Now we know why.
Oh, so not under a rock, just not up on the lingo! Thanks.
