He understands that the left wants to use this verdict as misdirection from charges of prosecutorial abuse. They think having Hunter convicted will inoculate them from such criticism. They also hope to hide the Bidens’ more serious crimes by pushing the idea that both sides are even now, and the country needs to move on. Trump’s not having it. There are much worse crimes that Hunter and the Big Guy committed, and which the left want to get a pass on by letting Hunter get convicted for this lesser infraction.

It would be a funny thing for Trump to offer to pardon Hunter if he would flip on the big guy.
If it gets too serious, Biden will pardon his son.
Joe will pardon Hunter. Otherwise it’ll be the first time he’s ever told the truth to the public.
Its not like Hunter was going to use the gun to rob a liquor store to support his habit. He’s loaded with cash from the corruption he’s a part of. They should be going after the ones running the corruption. If they go after Hunter it should maybe be about supporting the sex trafficking business as a customer.

But it’s pretty much what he SHOULD say.
Announce at the debate that you intend to pardon Hunter. And Joe. Don’t let it out beforehand. It will totally fluster Biden and make him either look like he’s going back on his word to save himself and his family or like he’s a bad father.
I think it would appeal to independents.
