Biden urges new gun control to ‘hold families accountable’ in awkward first remarks since son Hunter convicted on gun charges
NY Post ^ | June 11, 2024 | Steven Nelson

President Biden demanded punishment for families who leave guns unlocked Tuesday — in his first public remarks since his son Hunter was convicted of three felonies for illegally owning a gun that another Biden family member tossed into a public dumpster.

“It’s time we establish universal background checks — and by the way, and require the safe storage of firearms,” the 81-year-old said at a pro-gun control conference blocks from the White House. “We should hold families responsible if they don’t provide those locks on those guns.”

Biden didn’t directly address the guilty verdict against his 54-year-old son while delivering the pre-scheduled speech to the group Everytown for Gun Safety, a nonprofit founded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Biden pontificates about gun control, rushing to grab our guns, but is OK with arming foreign countries. Grabbing guns from Americans is his obsession. The same pols that gleefully tramples 2A rights, are hell bent on supplying US weapons to foreign countries.

Not content w/ the mega billions already in his pocket, Zelensky got another $61 billion, and demands US tax dollars to Ukraine “according to the Israeli model”......here’s what he means:

Congressional Research Service
US Foreign aid to Israel
60 page detailed report

https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/RL/RL33222/44

The concerned Israeli lobby made sure Congress is required by law to ensure that U.S. military aid in the Middle East region doesn’t damage Israel’s military superiority over its neighbors. That requirement enjoys broad bipartisan support and has served as a benchmark for ensuring Israel receives robust U.S. support.

Biden keeps gaslighting Americans about the “need” for
American foreign aid tax dollars to Ukraine and Israel.
Here’s why they DONT need it:

About $113.1 billion in tax dollars were authorized in 2022 for Ukraine, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. Most of it–about $67.1 billion–was defense-related. The other $46 billion included:
<><>$26.9 billion for economic support;
<><>$7.9 billion for international disaster assistance;
<><>$6.6 billion in assistance for refugees;
<><>$1.5 billion for assistance for Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia;
<><>plus $3.1 billion for other non-defense spending.

US tax dollars helped Ukraine
<><>pay the salaries of 618,000 educators, 517,000 health workers, and 56,500 first responders
<><>helped sustain critical healthcare services,
<><>helped meet pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people,
<><>assisted 1.3 million internally displaced persons,
<><>provided housing assistance to 4.1 million people,
<><>provided social assistance to 240,000 low-income families
<><>helped subsidize 480,000 persons with disabilities,
<><>bought supplies for farmers,
<><>financed finding markets for small business.

Backstory: Since 1973, Israel has received more than $120 billion US tax
dollars in MILITARY assistance alone, including “three special aid” packages.
<><>billions of tax dollars for signing the Israel-Egypt peace treaty
<><>billions for Israel’s withdrawal from the Sinai.
<><>billions for redeployment of Israeli forces
<><>rebuilding Israeli air bases in the Negev cost $5 billion tax dollars.

Besides weaponry, Israel also receives economic and humanitarian foreign aid, which supports broad economic development and sociopolitical stability and can include non-military support related to the country’s pressing security needs.

Military aid from US taxpayers has blanketed Israel over the years. They have more than enough resources, now, to nail Hamas and Hezbollah. Wealthy Israel has very low debt, and actually had a budget surplus this year, while the US is $33 trillion in debt, a debt which future generations are saddled with.

All of these weapons and military aid from US arsenals are billed as “sales” for public consumption. In at least one instance (that we know of) when it came time to pay up, Israeli lobbies pressured the hapless Congress to change “sales” to “gifts.”

Biden’s 2023 US arms handout to Israel immediately after the Oct 7, 2023 attack included:
<><>57,000 155mm artillery shells
<><>more than 5,000 Mk82 unguided or “dumb” bombs,
<><>more than 5,400 Mk84 2,000 pound warhead bombs,
<><>around 1,000 GBU-39 small diameter bombs,
<><>approximately 3,000 JDAMs, which turn unguided bombs into guided “smart” bombs,
<><>BLU-109 bunker busters w/ 2,000 pound warheads designed to penetrate concrete shelters.
On March 30, 2024 Joe Biden secretly authorized billions of dollars in new bombs and fighter jets for Israel, despite US officials publicly expressing worry over mounting Palestinian death toll in Tel Aviv’s brutal war on besieged Gaza.

The arms approved this week by the US president include deadly 1,800 MK84 2,000-pound bombs and 500 MK82 500-pound bombs, anonymous State and Defense Department officials told the Washington Post.

The State Department last week approved the transfer of 25 F-35A fighter jets and engines, a US official added. The planes and engines are estimated to be worth around $2.5 billion.

There are no corresponding announcements on the Defense Security Cooperation Agency’s website where such notifications are normally posted.

On Friday, Senator Bernie Sanders criticized Biden administration’s approval of sending more weapons to Israel. “The US cannot beg Netanyahu to stop bombing civilians one day and the next send him thousands more 2,000 lb. bombs that can level entire city blocks. This is obscene,” Sanders said on X, sharing the report of Washington Post. “We must end our complicity: No more bombs to Israel,” Sanders reiterated.

Biden also recently gave Israel an extra $billion tax dollars but its not clear why.....seems like Biden cant help himself from putting America last.

cont

There’s Obama’s $38 billion deal that covers fiscal years 2019-2028 that includes:
<><>-annual US payments to Israel of $3.3 billion in “military financing,”
<><>-$500 million a year for Israel’s missile defense operations in the Negev, a foreign aid first,
<><>-A phasing-out of Israel’s decades-long “special arrangement”
<><>ie. Israel used 26.3% of US aid on its own global defense industry (not on US-made weapons).
<><>-Eliminates Israel using some 13% of US aid to buy military fuel.
<><>-will allow Israel to update “the lion’s share” of its fighter aircraft,
<><>includes purchasing additional F-35 Joint Strike Fighters.
<><>Israel is to initially receive thirty-three F-35 aircraft,
<><>the first two F-35’s will be delivered in December.
The (a) weaponry build-up from Obama 2018 into 2028, (b) follows the $30 billion weaponry deal Israel s igned in 2007, which expires at the end of fiscal 2018, and (c) a systematic buildup of Israeli arms, like this one in 2015.

ISRAEL – JOINT DIRECT ATTACK MUNITION TAIL KITS AND MUNITIONS
Defense Security Cooperation Agency
Media/Public Contact
pm-cpa@state.gov
Transmittal No 15-36

WASHINGTON, May 19, 2015
As required by US law, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale to Israel on May 18, 2015: Joint Direct Attack Munition Tail Kits, munitions, and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $1.879 billion.

The Government of Israel has requested:
<><>14,500 KMU-556C/B Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) tail kits
<><>consisting of 10,000 for Mk-84;
<><>500 for Mk-83;
<><>and,4,000 for Mk-82;
<><>3,500 Mk-82 bombs; 4,500 Mk-83 bombs;
<><>50 BLU-113 bombs;
<><>4,100 GBU-39 Small Diameter bombs;
<><>1,500 Mk-83 Paveway kits;
<><>700 BLU-109 Paveway kits;
<><>3,000 AGM-114K/R Hellfire Missiles,
<><>250 AIM-120C Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles;
<><>and 500 DSU-38A/B Detector Laser Illuminated Target kits for JDAMs.

The proposed sale of this equipment will provide Israel
<><>the ability to support its self-defense needs
<><>enable Israel to maintain operational capability of its existing systems
<><>and will enhance Israel’s interoperability with the United States.

Israel already has these munitions in its inventory, and will have no difficulty absorbing the additional munitions into its armed forces.

All questions regarding this proposed Foreign Military “Sale” or “Gift” should be directed to the State Department’s Bureau of Political Military Affairs, Office of Congressional and Public Affairs, pm-cpa@state.gov.

“In 2024, there will be an estimated 4,532 delegates at the Democratic National Convention to be held in Chicago, Illinois. These will include 3,788 pledged delegates and 744 “automatic” delegates — more commonly known as superdelegates.

“To win the Democratic nomination, a presidential candidate needs to receive the support of a majority — or roughly 1,895 — of the pledged delegates.

“If the convention is contested and goes to a second ballot, the automatic/superdelegates will then be able to vote. Once they’re engaged, the number of votes needed rises to 2,258.”

Joe Biden on magazines: “How many of those magazines can one person read, anyway? C’mon, in the bathroom I try to understand some Prevention and Reader’s Digest articles-—if they’re short ones. I ask Jill about the how they come out if I lose my train of thought. But nobody needs a lot of magazines.”

It's obviously in Barry's interest first to let the nomination process play out, ultimately naming Joe, then assuring Joe's exit--likely via the 25th Amendment.

It would be a near repeat of the 2002 Torricelli->Lautenberg switcheroo strategery, which no one seemingly had sufficient energy to challenge effectively.

And this. (Source: America’s Defense Consortium)

George Soros has expressed outright hostility to Israel and Zionism time and time again. It’s no secret. So to discover Soros, is, in fact, one of the largest donors to one of the Israeli lobbies-—— the J Street lobby-—— is a revelation.

James Besser at The New York Jewish Week: “There’s no way this isn’t going to make US politicians supported by J Street (and those who may be considering accepting its endorsement) incredibly nervous. Instead of providing protection for politicians they supported, Israel’s J Street lobby essentially hung them out to dry by lying about their connection to the controversial moneyman Soros.”

News of the Soros J Street donation was accompanied by disclosures about a larger, and stranger , donation, by a resident of Hong Kong.

Congress prepares to vote another billion to Israel: now J Street supporters on Capitol Hill are worried that the organization is using foreign money to provide money to American political candidates, and encouraging foreigners to support Israeli funding in US legislation.

REFERENCE: George Soros is the spendthrift billionaire with an endless supply of money to screw up American politics. Now, new revelations suggest Soros appears to be doing the “good cop, bad cop” routine (to get his hands on US foreign aid tax dollars?).J Street has suggested, time and time again, that Soros was not an Israel supporter. But Eli Lake was quoted in the Atlantic WRT Soros and his family giving J Street $750,000 to J Street over a one year period.
The scandal grows from a decision by Jeremy Ben-Ami, founder and president of J Street, to cover-up, over a long period of time, something he knew to be true: That George Soros, the billionaire moneyman and self-avowed dissident of Israel, provided the Israeli J Street Lobby with
almost $750,000 in funding.

An Atlantic reporter, Chris Good, was one of the journalists lied to by J Street; he ripped the organization a new one once he learned he was the target of J Street’s disinformation campaign.

Democrats panic over Jewish voters
World Israel News ^ | 5/24/24 | Daniel Greenfield
Posted on 5/26/2024, 1:41:02 PM by Roman_War_Criminal

After tossing Jewish voters overboard to accommodate the Hamas supporters of Dearborn, Michigan, the Democrats are starting to get nervous about the choice they made.

Despite the rollout of the campaign, beginning with Senator Schumer’s floor speech blasting Israel, and various liberal Jewish surrogates, including Rep. Jerry Nadler, vocally opposing the campaign against Hamas, the Democrats did not manage to sell Jews on Biden’s betrayal.

Biden’s declaration that he would stop providing military support to Israel if it continued to pursue Hamas into Rafah touched off a major backlash from donors, like Haim Saban, from celebrities, like Michael Rappaport, who has said he could vote for Trump, and ordinary Jews.

While there’s no accurate polling of Jewish voters because there are too few Jews in much of the country to be captured by conventional polls and polls specifically surveying Jews are usually run by leftist groups, Democrats have suddenly begun to sweat the Jewish vote.

BTW. I’m surprised Hunter was convicted in Delaware.

I think it's for show. That way the dems can claim that the rule of law still exists in this country and nobody is above the law.

Then they'll give him a ridiculous sentence like community service and/or probation and after it blows over, they'll get a pardon from someone, or a mistrial will be declared or it'll be over turned on an appeal.

I wouldn't doubt it. Plus, it seems like they prosecuted him on these charges so they could avoid charging him with the much worse crimes that he's committed - like influence peddling to foreign country, i.e., Ukraine and his references of bribery payments to his father, the "Big Guy".
