Democrat slams ‘staggering’ contrast in GOP response to Trump, Hunter Biden verdicts

Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), the top Democrat on the House Rules Committee, slammed his GOP colleagues for their acceptance of the Hunter Biden verdict Tuesday after arguing former President Trump’s guilty verdict was the result of a rigged system.

Hunter Biden was convicted Tuesday on three counts related to failing to acknowledge drug use when purchasing a weapon.

“The contrast today is just staggering. Apparently, when a Republican is convicted, it’s weaponization. But when a Democrat is convicted — the president’s son, no less — that’s justice. I mean, give me a break. Hunter Biden was found guilty by a jury of his peers, just like Donald Trump, because this is our justice system at work,” McGovern said.

“After the verdict this morning, how can any Republican in their right mind argue that the Biden administration is weaponizing the [Justice Department] to hurt Republicans and to help Democrats? They just convicted the president’s own son,” he added, noting ongoing prosecution of Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez (N.J.) and Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar (Texas) on charges related to abusing their offices.

Trump didn’t lie on his federal form about his drug use when he bought his gun. Trump has never taken drugs or nor does he drink.

So an open and shut case is the same thing as a case with so many nuances that legal scholars are totally baffled by it? So a case tried in the most friendly venue to be found as opposed to one that is as hostile a venue as could be found is the same thing? Hardly.

What about the $30 Million and over a million in legal fees?

The Judge in NY said you can’t get anything of value, anything at all.

Hunter admitted he was representing Foreign interests. Where are the FARA charges?

The contrast is there’s a law on the books that can be cited for Hunter’s crime. Name Trump’s crime Jim...

Leftist screeching-point for the next few news cycles.

Trump was certainly NOT convicted by a jury of his peers...

Why aren’t the democrats jumping and shouting for joy as they were with Trump’s verdict? Didn’t they tell us no one is above the law?

What statute of limitations was changed for just one year to enable prosecution of a political rival?

What torturing of campaign finance law was made to enable prosecution of a political rival?

What unconstitutionally placed attorney was placed to pursue a perversion of executive privilege relating to documents to pursue a political rival? What blindness was applied when a VP having no such authority?

What extreme financial burden was placed on a political rival by manufacturing a crime about real estate value when no one claimed any injury whatsoever?

What nonexistent crime was committed by asking a Governor to ensure all votes were counted?

Tell me if it isn’t political lawfare when Attorney’s General run their political campaign on a ‘Get Trump’ platform?

Lastly, show me the vast right wing conspiracy that pursued Hunter. I’m pretty sure it was his Dad’s Justice Department.

HEY JIM MCGOVERN!!! Hunter is not a politician or political enemy of anyone else running for office. Hunter’s prosecutors and judges are not making millions of dollars off his trial and convictions. Hunter Biden is protected by the entire federal government and will be pardoned. Trump has the entire government against him. Trump committed no crime and had several of his constitutional rights violated by a demon judge. Hunter had prosecutors allow several felonies expire and was given a deal where any crimes he commits were given immunity.

SO YES JIM! It was definitely weaponized against Trump.

Did that moron slam the staggering contrast in media coverage of the two trials and verdicts? No? What a surprise. Retribution is coming in November.
