Channel 2′s Michael Seiden was in the courtroom when Brian Steel was taken into custody after he refused requests to answer how he heard about a “secret” meeting between prosecutors, the judge and a key witness in the YSL trial, Kenneth Copeland, on Monday morning.
Judge Ural Glanville gave Steel until 5 p.m. to disclose the source of information about the meeting, arguing that Steel wasn’t supposed to have any communication with a state witness sworn to testify.
Despite facing a contempt charge, Steel refused to reveal his source, citing client-attorney privilege.
Video showed Steel take off his jacket before he’s taken into custody.

Ashleigh Merchant is fantastic. How did such an intelligent and top notch attorney such as her end up working in Fulton County? She could be working at the DOJ or anywhere she wants. She could run circles around Merrick Garland.
Judge is upset he got caught.

Holloway does a good job explaining what is happening in Fulton County court cases.
The prosecutor held an ex parte meeting with the judge which is against the rules of legal ethics and the defense attorney found out about it (probably via the witness that was in the meeting) and challenged the meeting and demanded to know what was discussed which is his duty.
The judge was 100% percent wrong. The judge should be reported to the Bar and investigated, as should the prosecutor.
Judge sounds like a Juan Merchan wannabe.
