Carbon dioxide is plant food.
best bet is for those who BELIEVE this qwap to please stop exhaling CO2. do it for the children!
AN increasing Co2 level is a lagging indicator of warming. Not the driver.
NPR - the world’s authority on just about everything.
Liars!
So plant more trees. The process of photosynthesis should take care of the extra Carbon Dioxide.
Idiots. Without Carbon Dioxide, all plant life would DIE !
The oceans are under-saturated with respect to carbon dioxide. They absorb it and critters grow their shells faster. They die and fall to the bottom. And viola, limestone is ultimately formed and carbon dioxide is taken from the atmosphere.
As a tree-aficianado, I welcome more tree food.
Please, NPR, tell the public how much CO2 is in the atmosphere. Latest wikipedia article says .04%
“There is more carbon dioxide than ever in the atmosphere. That’s bad for the climate”
Is that because of the worldwide deforestation that’s occurring? Someome ought to tell the Greeniacs that trees suck up a lot of CO2 and emit O2 and they should send protesters to those site to stop the killing of the trees and planet.
Our taxes are paying for this bilge.
The Indonesian volcano spewed more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere in 8 hours than all of the planet’s vehicles did in a decade.
Maybe NPR has a plan to neuter the earth’s volcanos.
They don’t know what the 1930’s were about - the great dust bowl

Carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere
Concentrations of CO 2 in the atmosphere were as high as 4,000 ppm during the Cambrian period about 500 million years ago, and as low as 180 ppm during the Quaternary glaciation of the last two million years.
For most of the history of life on earth carbon dioxide has been present in the atmosphere at much higher levels than it is today. During the Cambrian explosion, when multi-cellular life first came on the scene, CO2 levels were as much as 10 times higher than they are today. From a big picture perspective, we’re actually living in a low carbon dioxide era. The optimum level of CO2 for plant growth, for example, is four to five times what is currently found in our atmosphere. That’s why greenhouse growers worldwide actually inject additional CO2 into their greenhouses — they want to promote plant growth.
Every measurement has a built-in experimental error. Here’s my suspicion:
Scientist #1: Within experimental error, there has been no increase in carbon dioxide levels.
Scientist #2: Idiot! That kind of thinking will get you cancelled, and cause our university to lose government funding.
Scientist #1: Carbon dioxide levels are off the charts!
Scientist #2: Now you’ve got it.
She makes it sound like there is universal agreement on this.
