A massive residential tower in California will provide homeless people with a swanky new living space and luxury amenities, including a café, gym and TV lounge.

The 19-story tower, which is set to open this month in Los Angeles' Skid Row neighborhood, will provide sprawling views of downtown and the San Gabriel Mountains, the Los Angeles Times reported.

"We’re trying to make our little corner of the world look and feel a little better," Weingart Center Assn. Chief Executive and President Kevin Murray told the outlet.

Murray, who devised the plan, launched it in 2018 alongside the affordable housing developer Chelsea Investment Corp. The tower will become the largest permanent supportive housing project in Los Angeles.

The Libtards have turned a once beautiful state into a living HELLHOLE! VOTE for the entitled! If you don’t, they will just cheat on a larger and larger scale and count votes many days past the election until they maintain their strangle hold on our country.

When you see a super expensive “solution” with no chance of achieving the stated goal, you know all that money is going into someone’s pocket.

This reminds me of the “projects” of the 60s in New Jersey. They rapidly became gang dominated, crime-filled warrens full of drug-dealers and thieves. Eventually they were abandoned and razed.

And, once the riff-raff are gone, the fentanyl residue, scabies, and TB might remain a while longer.

The building concept faces inward to insulate the tenants from the struggling neighborhood.

Is the thinking here that this project won’t fail like Cabrini Green in Chicago or Ft. Marcy Park sp. in New York city because the RIGHT people will be running it THIS time?

As Ben Franklin put it...

“The best way to help the poor is to make them uncomfortable in their own poverty.

I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

Unf***king believable!

“The project is expected to cost approximately $165 million and will receive financing from Proposition HHH, state housing funds and $56 million in state tax credits. Each unit is projected to cost $600,000.”

And of course they’ll provide them with food, furniture, utilities, internet, phones, needles, drugs of their choice...

We’re beyond a sick country, we’re certifiable insane, and the sooner everything comes crashing down the better.

Homeless problem is now a for profit industry all paid for by Billions of Tax payer funds. A few people are getting uber-rich over it—until the money drys up.

In CaCaLand almost all $$ appropriated for street bums is tax dollars and almost none actually gets anywhere near helping. But, that is not a bug, it is THE FEATURE. The purpose is to generate a bag of Fed money (not CaCaLand — thanks, other 49 states) that can be skimmed.

Every damned time.

The various state and local governments are spending a fortune feeding and housing the “homeless” population.

They would save a ton of money by building and staffing mental hospitals/asylums and residential rehab centers thereby treating a serous problem, a blight on the nation.
