Why Biden’s order on the ‘out of control’ border may not fix Democrats’ political problem

President Biden has been trying to frame the November election around two subjects: his legislative accomplishments and former President Trump’s fitness to serve.

But Biden’s own vulnerabilities have been getting in the way. High among them for many voters is a sense that the country is in chaos, fueled in part by images of an overwhelmed southern border that have flooded television screens and social media feeds since he took office.

“The fentanyl that is coming across the border is coming into our communities,” said Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, a Democrat from Nevada, where Biden is down by an average of 6 percentage points to Trump, in an interview. “The human trafficking that happens at the border comes into our communities.”

That helps explain why Biden took executive action this week — severely limiting the rights of migrants to seek asylum — that surprised and angered many allies on the left and could very well be struck down in court.

“He did what he had to do, not just because it is a huge campaign issue, but because it’s a genuine problem,” said David Axelrod, who served as a top political advisor to former President Obama. “He probably should have done it sooner.”

Biden, Axelrod, Cortez Masto and other Democrats have been laying the border problem at the feet of Republicans, who tanked a bipartisan bill earlier this year that would have given the president more money and leverage for border enforcement, because former President Trump wanted to keep the issue alive for the campaign.

But despite his role in killing the enforcement bill, Trump maintains a big lead on the question of which candidate can better handle the problem, including an ABC poll released last month that showed he leads Biden 47% to 30% on whom to trust more on fixing the border.

Because his Executive action does zilch to stem or stop the flow of illegal immigration.

“that would have given the president more money and leverage for border enforcement”

Hilarious!

He had all the money and people in the world.

He had his little Invasion Facilitator Mayorkas spend it all on flying hundreds of thousands of parasites INTO the country for no good reason other then “we want de moaney, gringo!”

His “action” was never meant to physically change anything. It was simply to make it look like he did something about it.

Problem is, they’re greedy and want to keep all their future (and present) voters. When those bogus votes come in at 3 am, whose names do you think will be on those votes?

In fact, the executive order Biden signed years ago is for all these federal agencies to take those illegals “credentials” and sign them up as voters which would be forced upon states voter roles.

There is at least one state that has told Biden and company that they won’t be adding said voters as it’s not the federal governments prerogative to perform said tasks and that is now a legal issue before the courts.

The LA LA Times is concerned about how this will affect President Biden.

Yes, and the Biden Junta won’t even try to enforce rules and norms regarding asylum. This is a last-ditch effort to appear to give a damn about the border crisis.

All that leftists know is how to steal and destroy. They cannot build, only take. You make leftist a leader of a country you can expect it to crater as leftists dismantle it and take what isn’t theirs that they didn’t earn.

"they have to tighten the assyluym rules. I am scared is not a reason."

You are stuck in a past America that no longer exists. It doesn't matter what laws are on the books the communists will break all of them to get what they want.

From the article: “Democrats have been laying the border problem at the feet of Republicans, who tanked a bipartisan bill earlier this year that would have given the president more money and leverage for border enforcement,”

No that legislation would have given the President more money and leverage to facilitate border crossings.

No bias there. Leftist pukes.

The aggravating but unsurprising ploy to blame the GOP for the ongoing wide open borders policy shouldn’t fool anyone who is awake and aware——but is that 10% of the people now?

Does anyone know of polling about who is to blame?

The first couple of days Biden was installed in office he blatantly overruled and ended all the Trump border orders.
But the lying Left doesn’t admit to that. It’s all lack of giving in the 2024 deal that they blame now.

When you loose the LA Times in Ultra-Blue CA, its pretty clear Biden is gone.
CA used the Clintons until they no longer had a use for them.
This is now the case for Biden.
The left no longer needs the cover and are ready to go full on communist.

Possible President candidates:
Cory Booker
Erik Holder

VP:
AOC

NEW: @FoxNews has obtained an internal Border Patrol memo sent to agents in San Diego sector after President Biden’s executive order took effect, instructing them to release single adults from all but six countries in the eastern hemisphere & classifying them as “hard” or “very hard” to remove.

Specifically, the memo instructs agents to process all single adults from 100+ countries in the eastern hemisphere as NTA/OR, which means “Notice to Appear/Release on Own Recognizance”, except for six countries which are deemed “mandatory referral” countries (Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan).

President Biden & DHS promised consequences & removal for those who cross illegally between ports of entry after the executive order took effect - but the overwhelming majority of illegal crossers in San Diego sector, including the Chinese, Middle Eastern, & African adults we’ve been showing, are still being released into the U.S. with future court dates, as our coverage has shown repeatedly with Border Patrol mass releases at a trolley station in San Diego.

In a background call with reporters, DHS officials acknowledged the difficulty of removing illegal immigrants from eastern hemisphere countries, as some governments won’t cooperate with U.S. repatriation flights/travel documents & won’t take their citizens back.

DHS officials said they are engaged with these countries and are trying to enhance cooperation.

Bottom line in the short term: Mass catch & release continues for illegal immigrants in San Diego sector, who continue pouring in from all around the globe.

H/T to @Anna_Giaritelli, who was the first reporter to scoop this memo.
