Many illegal migrants will voluntarily flee to Canada if President Donald Trump is re-elected, a Democrat-appointed ambassador told an elite Canadian audience in Ottowa.
“These people aren’t just going to sit there and wait to be rounded up,” former U.S. ambassador to Canada Bruce Heyman told a national security conference on June 3, according to Canada’s National Post.
Heyman is a former top executive at the Goldman Sachs investment firm and a fundraiser for Democrats. He was appointed to the ambassador job by President Barack Obama.
“What would a second Donald Trump presidency mean for Canada?” columnist Tasha Kheiriddin wrote:
… there are three very real dangers posed by the election of Trump 2.0 that politicians need to pay attention to, according to former U.S. ambassador to Canada Bruce Heyman, who presented them to a security conference in Ottawa earlier this week …
The first is the potential impact of one of Trump’s signature policies: the mass deportation of up to 11 million undocumented migrants from the United States. Trump made similar promises in his 2016 campaign, which he did not achieve. But observers say this time, he will be more effective, leveraging sympathetic officials at the Department of Homeland Security, the justice system and the military.
What does this mean for Canada? Heyman was blunt: “These people aren’t just going to sit there and wait to be rounded up.” Should Trump win, they will immediately begin making plans to leave — and they will not go south, but north.

24 Sussex Drive, the Prime Minister’s official residence, is decrepit, deserted, and falling apart, so there’s plenty of room there.
Good. canuck_conservative can enjoy all the fun. Maybe it will give him something different to whine about on the Zeeper threads.
All right, all right I’ll vote for Trump already. Geez such a hard sell.
Sounds like a win to me!
I doubt it. The Hollowoodies are always saying they are going to Canadah and never do.
I recall when French Canucks invaded upstate NY, Vermont, NH, and Maine in the very early 1950’s. My grandfather’s camps on Lake Champlain along with many others on both sides of the lake were broken into, had items stolen from them, but; mostly lived in as long as the French Canuck invaders could get away with freeloading. In early spring, the American males would get together and start clearing out the camps. I am not sure how far they went as I was a young kid.
Now they could claim it's there's. I'm so glad my father & grandfather are no longer alive to see what is happening to this nation.
Lolz
It's like the routine "The Mexicans Are Going Home" story, except with an even more appealing twist.
“Why don’t they go to Canada anyhow?
I thought Canada is so great and the US is so bad”
Porque, hace mucho frío.
I wish
Thanks for helping to convince the fence-sitters that Trump is the only choice.
Not looking forward to paying for all this, but I hope they all go to Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.
Maybe the way for me to pay for this is short the Canadian dollar, or Quebec and Ontario provincial debt.
Yeah, and then we’ll have to deal with from there..
I believe all those military aged men are here for nefarious reasons. No one can convince me that they’ve here because they want to mop floors, wash dishes and bus tables for seven to ten bucks an hour. THAT’S HORSE BLEEP.!
That would make things easier if they run off voluntarily. Canada or Mexico — their choice. And don’t come back.
Good. I see no downside
Good. Canada deserves them. We don’t.
Win-win.
I have trouble believing anything an Obamanite says, but if true I’ll take it.
How is this a problem for the US? Canada has said they want all the illegals we don’t - just ask Justin Trudeau!
“Obama Ambassador: Illegal Migrants Will Flee to Canada if Donald Trump Is Elected”
and there’s supposed to be a downside to that?
