Revealed - NATO plan to get US troops to the front line to fight RUSSIA: Alliance prepares for rapid deployment of American soldiers amid fears Moscow is plotting major war with Europe
UK Daily Mail ^ | 06 04 2024 | James Reynolds

NATO is drawing up plans to send American troops to the frontlines of Europe in the event of an all-out conflict with Russia, it has been revealed.

New 'land corridors' are being carved out to quickly funnel soldiers through central Europe without local bureaucratic impediments, allowing NATO forces to pounce in an instant should Putin's devastating war in Ukraine move further west.

The plans are said to include contingencies in case of Russian bombardment, letting troops sweep into the Balkans via corridors in Italy, Greece and Turkey, or towards Russia's northern border via Scandinavia, officials told The Telegraph.

Tensions have ratcheted up in recent weeks, with Russian President Vladimir Putin openly acknowledging the 'possibility' of 'a full-scale Third World War' as he threatens 'fatal consequences' for western allies allowing Ukraine use of their weapons on Russian soil.

Ukraine's challenge in repelling the Russian invasion has moved European leaders to take a harder stance on Moscow as the war rages on into its third year, some now threatening to send troops east and making record investments into defence.

This is insanity. WW3 is unwinnable.

The idea is mad. But it is a mad, M.A.D., M.A.D. world.

Hmm.

The US has been doing this every year for ... decades really.

This iteration was in 2020. No nukes.

NATO and our military have plans for every conceivable contingency.

If they didn’t have plans that would be a problem.

This scenario has been war gamed by think tanks both of which were left and right. The conclusion of both is that the side that is losing will resort to tactical nukes and the winning side will then also use tactical which will then escalate to total intercontinental nuclear warfare and no winners except China that stays out of the war. Russia has far more tactical nukes than NATO. It is beloved 17 times more. NATO would run out of tactical nukes first and then be confronted with the problem of using our intercontinental military and city destroyers or lose. France and Britain also have Nukes of great power but limited in numbers but enough to make Russia a non functioning society. If faced with defeat they might decide, “what the hell, take the bastards out.” The USA would then be attacked by Russia and we would respond. Everyone will be decimated.

You have done a great job as President Joe Biden. /S You have brought about war in the Middle East and the Ukraine, devastated our economy, allowed an invasion of illegal aliens by design, weaponized our judiciary and federal law enforcement, promoted racial division and violence, and your lies about all are of epic proportions.

We need Trump!

Why would our European exercises to prevent Russia from attacking Europe and starting WWIII have prevented those?

I assumed you were referring to NATO in a general sense. Further exercises and wargames help prepare for, but in no way prevent war.

“”””NATO and our military have plans for every conceivable contingency. If they didn’t have plans that would be a problem.””””

Especially since NATO exists to protect against Russia and Russia just launched the biggest European War since WWII.

All this is the very purpose of NATO and it is what they do and have done for generations, we have to be prepared and trained.

We have prevented WWIII with Russia for generations with these exercises and our military readiness to fight them if they attack.

Many of us were sure by 1979 that Russia would make their move on western Europe in 1984, Reagan got elected and spent billions to shut that window of opportunity.

Nah, that is 19th century thinking.

Murmansk is ice free year round. So is Sochi. St Petersburg can have ice, but it’s rare and that’s why God created ice breakers.

In fact, ice breakers are what rendered 19th century norms dissolved. They just don’t have this problem anymore.

They also have Novorossiysk on the Black Sea.

There just is no maritime constraint of consequence since icebreakers arrived in society. Europe has nothing they don’t already have — other than Muslim immigration.

Of course NATO is planning to use US troops for the initial rapid deployment. There aren’t many nations with significant troops, and most of them aren’t deployable in a hurry.

The British Army, for example, has a total manpower of 80,000. They might be able to put 20,000 in Ukraine, but they’d have a hard time getting more than 3-5000 in a hurry.

The French Army numbers around 118,000. The German around 63,000.

The US Army has 450,000 active duty personnel. And the US, and only the US, has the logistic capacity to move any significant number and support them once they arrive.

More Americans dead for Eurotrash. Washington and Jefferson warned us about Europe 220 years ago. Half the people on the his board would have voted for Adams and supported Hamilton.

I wish more readers understood that it isn’t news to have a contingency plan. It doesn’t mean it is “THE” plan. We have contingency plans for all sorts of things that will never be used or happen. It is the job of the military to have contingency plans for all kinds of unlikely scenerios

Jefferson was prone to looking at geopolitics, even from the POV of a small and poor country, as the US was at the time. The bogeyman of his time was Bonaparte.

“It cannot be to our interest that all Europe should be reduced to a single monarchy.”

- Letters of Jefferson, to Thomas Lieper, Jan 1814.

Which was, btw, also the essence of British grand strategy, as Jefferson was also prone to point out.

Actually, the biggest tool in the box preventing conflict between nuc powers was diplomacy.

A tool we the West but essentially the people running the Biden show….no longer choose to employ.

Russia has now developed 50-100 MT nucs to try to keep diplomacy going among rational leaders, or for when they finally decide our leaders are no longer agreement-capable and are determined to destroy them
