John Rich is hitting out at Democrats following the guilty verdict in Donald Trump's New York criminal trial, and the country singer's message has gone viral.
"Only Communists put their political rivals in jail," Rich, a longtime MAGA supporter wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.
The post has since received over 756,000 views. Trump, the first former president to be convicted of criminal charges is due to be sentenced on July 11.
The former president was found guilty by a New York jury on Thursday of 34 counts of falsifying business documents to hide "hush money" payments to Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 general election. The adult film star said she and Trump had a one-night-stand in 2006. The Republican politician has denied Daniels' claims and had pleaded not guilty. He has pledged to appeal the verdict.

Many users criticized the "Trucker Man" singer's remark. "So the United States Courts are Communists?" asked @netapolitics.
"In a functioning democracy is no one above the law," commented Chuck Throckmorton.
"This had nothing to do with Biden whatsoever," said Micah Bowers.

I am not going to forgive the people around me (85% Dems) and my late wife’s relatives, and past coworkers. Plus the media people. And politicians.

Hey Chris, the trial that found Trump guilty is the exact opposite of a trial held in Texas with a the jury wearing MAGA hats, a judge who donated to Trump, and all charges were dropped.

Simpleton lefties are used to just parroting whatever narratives they’re fed. Mr Colbe heard that talking point on MSNBC, and that’s good enough for him. You might just as well ask him to decipher hieroglyphics than ask him if the involvement of Matt Colangelo in the prosecution is curious at all.
