Russia strongly condemns Israeli airstrikes on the outskirts of Syria's Aleppo; these aggressive actions grossly violate Syria's sovereignty and international law, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"Moscow strongly condemns these aggressive actions, which come in gross violation of Syria's sovereignty and basic rules of international law," the ministry stressed. "Such use of force, which in the current tense regional situation can lead to extremely dangerous consequences and trigger a large-scale armed escalation, are unacceptable," it added.
The Russian Foreign Ministry "once again urges the Israeli leadership to abandon this vicious practice fraught with uncontrolled destabilization of the situation in the entire Middle East."
After midnight on June 3, Israeli air strikes hit the outskirts of Aleppo. Many were killed and injured in the attack, and significant material damage was caused, the report said. "Earlier, on the evening of May 29, the Israeli Air Force struck a residential building in the city of Baniyas in Tartous Governorate, killing a two-year-old girl and injuring her family members along with other civilians living in the house," it added.
The players who might escalate are tapped out. Syria doesn’t have the manpower or ability. Hezbollah probably wants to keep a low profile while the Israeli reserves are in play. Iran has a lot of their own problems at the moment and probably doesn’t want another issue with Irael so soon after the last fiasco. Turkey is on the verge of a total financial collapse. So who would escalate?

I would think that shooting missiles from Syria into Israel would seriously violate international law.

A continual State of War has existed between Syria and Israel since 1948. If Syria does not want to keep getting bombed, they need to beg for peace.

Very little news coming out about the many IDF jet raids into Lebanon and Syria, the Gazan situation has gotten the most attention, which is nice. So Russia is making a stink to draw attention to the bombing raids into Syria. Cry me a river. If Syria doesn't want the IDF bombs, then stop firing missiles and rockets into Israel from Syria and Lebanon.
LOL. Russia of all nations lecturing Israel about launching missiles into a neighboring country. Maybe Putin should stop launching missiles at civilian targets in Ukraine.
Russia does not care about escalation by attacking Ukraine in an advantageous way.
