Republicans stood silent for 3 years as Biden’s DOJ/FBI investigated, raided, charged, prosecuted and incarcerated 1,400+ Trump supporters for Jan 6. They not only tacitly endorsed it but funded it.
Of course this unprecedented conviction of Donald Trump would be the natural result. Today’s verdict is as much an indictment of GOP weakness and cowardice as it is the lawless Marxist tendencies of the Democrats.

We have an abundance of those Republicans on FreeRepublic. Always telling us we have to do everything Constitutionally while the enemy ignores it. All the Constitution does today is tie the hands of the patriots.

Yes. There have already been a number of users posting things which are either very stupid or attempts to identify and groom people to get caught in FIB setups to justify further steps.
As for the original post, spot on. The RINOs have tried all their usual tricks to oust Trump using DeSantis and Haley (qua Cruz 2016). They gave zero help when he was raided with deadly intent, they did nothing when he was charged with ridiculous civil and criminal charges.
It does not escape everyone’s attention that theoretically conservative DAs in ‘red’ counties and states took no action to charge Obama/Biden criminal officials with civil or criminal charges to impede them. They make speeches and raise monies while leftists enact a revolution using the shell of a Republic.
So: the left is empowered, unchallenged, and will continue to ratchet up their attacks. Why wouldn’t they? And, if every similar escalation in history is any guide, eventually something will break, and the longer until that happens the more horrible it will be for everyone. Rome took ~500 years to go from the end of the Republic to its complete dissolution, but look what happened after.

Most of the elected republicans are no friend of Trump’s and they’ve made that pretty clear by their silence in the face of all this. They’re actually as detrimental to our cause as the democrats.
They captured the dems years ago. They just kept it quiet until recently. Now that enough pubbies have joined the ranks and they have their own people settled into positions on all levels - city, county, state, and federal - they feel quite comfortable being open about it.
And still, the majority of the masses refuse to see it.

average folks don’t get THAT ACTIVE in politics, especially not at the federal level which is, for the most part, out of reach from Kalamazoo or Chattanooga or Tuskegee or Cucamonga
they hope that the supposed-political-opposition and the once-upon-a-time honest judiciary will keep WashDC from getting too corrupted or captured by the communists
as is all-too=clear now, that’s been a misplaced hope
Johnson and the Republicans should have shut down the government when the Democrat Senate ignored the impeachment of Mayorkas. Instead, they sent the message: “Do whatever you want and we’ll do nothing to stop you”.
The Democrats received that message loud and clear.
From what I see, they really aren’t active other than to vote in presidential elections. Voter turnout is lower for state and local elections. They don’t think those elections are all that important and don’t realize how wrong they are. It starts at home.
At least I’m old enough that I won’t have to live too long in the mess that lies ahead. The younger people, not so lucky.
