Trump has been convicted. Here's what happens next
CNBC (Business News) ^ | 30 May 2024 | Kevin Breuninger

The charges against Trump are Class E felonies, the least serious category under New York law...Experts tend to think it is highly unlikely that Trump will face any jail time as a result of the hush money verdict...Due to the immense and complex challenges of incarcerating a former president, the judge might instead opt for a sentence of house arrest...The U.S. Constitution...does not bar felons from holding its highest office.

Didn’t the Supreme Court stand down when the 2020 election was being disputed?

I think of this all the time. You forgot GWB, it was a daily onslaught for eight years, while this country was at war. The daily body count, yellowcake, Valerie Plame, Scooter Libby, Cindy Sheehan the camper, GWB a war criminal, water boarding. Hell, he choked on a pretzel and they spent days trying to decide if he was sick or dying Let’s not forget the impeachment talk because some over zealous soldiers put panties on a Muslims head under “Bush’s watch”, which went on for over a year. How many times did we see the aircraft carrier speech? National guard military service scandal. This is not in defense of Bush, it is a small chronicle of what Democrats do to this nation.

And Bush just sat there and took it. Which is a big reason we are here today.

But as it turned out, he did lie his way into war. And did let 9/11 happen on his watch.

Thank you so much, for you have so clearly articulated my deepest sorrow about the long slow decline (I am constantly hearing the lines of the poem “Dover Beach”, by Matthew Arnold, in my head)

We need to support one another with the truth taught in our Bibles, even if we have a hard time accepting it because we want a happy ending. We do not want to admit that we do not deserve one, and our only hope is Jesus Christ, our Lord, who endured unspeakable torture to save every one of us from our sins, if we only turn to Him and ask.

I don’t know anything about that, but I do know that Trump has sold out preborn Americans and this surely will not bode well for him in the sight of God.

You are correct. After the media and DEMS castrated GWB and made him eat his own balls, he is now their darling. The point is, it doesn’t matter who the Republican President is they will destroy them. They are ruthless, vile criminal thugs and will stop at nothing to win.

Wasn’t Peter Navarro sent to prison recently even though he was appealing his conviction?

If he’s confined to his house, he should just ignore it. As long as he doesn’t go to New York, they can’t arrest him. Screw New York.

He should be, but it’s not a great move to start slamming the judge while he’s contemplating your sentence.

The state is under no legal obligation to release Trump from custody or house arrest, even if he’s somehow elected in November. There’s no legal mechanism for springing him just to assume office.

It's called presidential immunity. The president cannot be jailed ever. The federal courts will not permit that, and anyone jailing the president would face federal criminal charges. They may well kill Trump before he can take office, but if he survives this ordeal the pay backs will be a real bitch.

Neither. He was convicted for mislabelling the money he paid to reimburse his lawyer for the Stormy Daniels payment as a legal fee, in order to hide…some other crime.

” ...especially since the rats have (coincidentally) announced they will anoint pudding head ahead of the convention.”

Then the republicans should anoint Trump before his sentencing, and Trump should withdraw from the debates.

Trump will not be incarcerated during the GOP convention.

Thank you for your opinion. Most of us certainly hope not.

Have you been tracking all of the highly irregular and erroneous aspects of the recent presidential election and the current trial after which Trump was found guilty of a non-existent crime?
