Five seconds ago they said they were sending the jury home for the day now they have a verdict??
Yeah, something stinks about this.
Getting the jury ready to rapidly get out of dodge. Once the verdict is published there will be I would guess a polling of the jury at the defense request (if the judge allows it) followed by immediate motions if there is any guilty verdict
Assuming that this is played fairly, which it has not, the judge has to know that whatever the verdict is will cause a shit show and he is taking care of the jury to get them out while the proceedings continue after dismissal. Judge can string it along enough until they are in their cars and going home. Media is in a bind as they will have to stay there instead of rushing to find the jurors to get the first interview.
