On Wednesday’s broadcast of ABC’s “The View,” First Lady Jill Biden argued that companies like Target and Walmart are lowering prices because President Joe Biden told them to and he’ll continue to tell CEOs to lower their prices, but also stated that other companies like McDonald’s brought down their prices because “they’re responding to you” the customer, but “We can’t have this corporate greed.”
Biden said, “[I]t’s what Joe is doing. So, you’re right, inflation is down. But recently, he’s been meeting with CEOs of the major companies like Target and Walmart and grocery stores to say, you have to bring down these prices, and they’ve responded. They’ve responded, yes, it was just in The New York Times last week. So, he’s going to continue doing this, talking to CEOs, and, look, you probably heard last week, the head of McDonald’s said, we’re going to bring the prices down on the meals, and then, I think it was Burger King that said, okay, we’re going to do it too, because they’re responding to you. We can’t have this corporate greed. We have to get control of it. And so, Joe is working on that every single day, Joy, every day.”

I use the service at Walmart that has them gather your groceries for you, then you go pick them up.
In the past few weeks, they have changed a few of their on-line features. They are now offering cyber-coupons on some things, and will also show you what you’ve saved shopping with them, versus a competitor. (I also shop at my local Mom & Pop Grocery store - they have some really good Loss Leader sales each week.)
For me? I’ve bought the same items each week for years on end. They’re NOW telling me I’m ‘saving’ $1-2 each week...though my bill is almost DOUBLE what it used to be for the same items!
Yep. Dr. Jill is right on the money, LOL! I take ALL of my ‘financial advice’ from an adulterous gold-digger! I’m surprised ‘economist’ Stormy Daniels hasn’t been weighing in on inflation these days.

This cow hasn’t shopped at a grocery store in 20 years, and I doubt that she could even recognize one.
Jill does not have a Ph.D. She has an Ed.D. It’s not an academic degree and you can get it online.
Corporate McDonald’s hasn’t opened up a store in decades. They now sell franchises. If the profit margin is not high enough, then they can’t sell franchises. If the corporate office dictates that the franchises cut prices, then many of them won’t make that profit margin and will shut down.
Right, and this is the democrat selling point. Doctor my @$$.

She is actually right. Just before the election, for a few weeks, they will lower their prices, economic indicators will turn rosy, and suddenly it will be morning in America, resulting in a Biden landslide. They can raise prices after the election. Folks, when we’ve lost the institutions, we’ve lost everything.
