I thought the election of a president is a federal election, not a state election. Federal elections should abide by federal laws, not state laws.
I don’t think he’d dare and if he tried, I think an appeals court would step in on that.

Who chooses the voters? 50 State Legislatures (Congress chooses 3).
When do they vote? Second Monday in December.
Where does the Constitution mention "running for President", "presidential elections", "voting for President", "primaries", "political parties", or "conventions"? Nowhere.
What elections can Congress make rules for? Representatives, and Senators since 1917.
Where does the Constitution permit ANY intervention by the National Government over the States' power to appoint Electors? Nowhere.

It would be a brand new trial, with brand new pre-trial motions. There is no way that Bragg could get a new jury seated before the election. Nothing carries forward to a retrial except perhaps the judge, unless the defense argues that the judge's behavior showed excessive bias and asks for the judge to recuse or be removed.

Underlying law is overt election fraud.... This court has no right to judge this case if it is going to claim this....and to bring it up after defense has rested is frankly unconstitutional.
