Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg struggled Sunday on CBS’ Face the Nation to explain why the Biden administration has only manged to build “seven or eight” electric vehicle (EV) charging stations thus far.
As Breitbart News has noted, while the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 allocated $7.5 billion for EV stations, as part of building a national EV charging infrastructure, no EV charging stations had been built by the end of 2023.

One billion per sounds so small. Call it one thousand million for effect.

I suspect there is a 10% in there somewhere for someone. Why else would you spend gazillions to not get what the public was told they were paying for.
No, that would disparage hordes of RINOs and assistant DemocRats. The correct response would be to lay 100% of the blame right on the real source of the problem...Donald J. Trump. /s (for those who can't recognize blatant sarcasm).
Shovel ready jobs.
True. But he and Congress reach into our pockets to get the money out of our wallets:
“The 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act — commonly called the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, or BIL — is bringing this electric future to life. The bill sets aside $7.5 billion to help states and communities build EV charging stations.”
Later
“A total of $2.5 billion, that Congress set aside for community charging projects. States, regions and cities seek the funds through a competitive grant program.”
Still later
“Biden Pours $623 Million into Electric Vehicle Charging”
“The President is not in charge of building electric vehicle utilities.”
He’s always bragging about it and everything else he didn’t do. Besides, Biden can’t even build a peanut butter sandwich.
Can you say slush fund, boys and girls?
I knew you could!
Now where has that money really gone...
because the climate agenda is a bullsh## scam, tax payer money finding its way to politician bank accounts and pockets of friends and family
Lots and lots of red tape with this program. Even with government grants it likely isn’t worth the headache and be profitable any time soon..
Biden? It’s Buttigieg’s responsibility to do it. Maybe he thinks Biden is supposed to do it? Or maybe they wasted the money on something else.
That’s what I figured. The money will likely get sidetracked as we may not need the extra charging stations.
The seven or eight they built might be in a place where they will never be needed.
