George Floyd should be alive. He deserved so much more.

Today, I join all those who loved him and all those touched by the civil rights movement he inspired in remembering the tragedy and injustice of his death.

He changed the world.

Now, let's act in his memory.

A lot of people here ARE discussing it rationally. It is not POSSIBLE to choke a man to death by putting your knee there, so your accusations are BS. You might as well say women have penises. It is the same level of unreality.

George Floyd died from his drugs. And because he resisted arrest violently. The ambulance was called for less than a minute after being put on the ground, just in case he had real issues.

So what do YOU think the cops should do in a situation like that? Ignore their training and then...do what?

“But it’s worth pointing out that he was behaving normally when he was first approached by officers.”

He got the drugs into his mouth right about then. You can see the pill in his mouth in body camera footage. The cops missed it, which would be normal. The tape can be played back, frame by frame, and enlarged. Our vison cannot.

The left was looking for a martyr, any martyr, so they decided that they could use Floyd’s story for their purposes. If not him, it would have been somebody else.

As with all attorneys and prosecutors, this one was able to locate a mouthy moron named Dr. Vik Bebarta a toxicologist who concluded he did not think Floyd died of his heart condition, his high blood pressure, the amphetamine level in his blood or the fentanyl level in his blood.

Medical examiner Dr. Andrew Baker said Floyd had hypertensive heart disease, “meaning his heart weighed more than it should.” This meant Floyd’s heart needed more oxygen than a normal heart and was “limited in its ability” to provide more oxygen when there was a demand for it.

Defense attorney Eric Nelson, has argued that Floyd died as a result of drugs and preexisting health conditions. And under cross examination, Baker said he believed those factors played a role.

“So in your opinion,” Nelson asked, “both the heart disease as well as the history of hypertension and the drugs that were in his system played a role in Mr. Floyd’s death?”

“In my opinion, yes,” Baker said. (CNN report)

Me....Sounds like Floyd was a man ready to appear in a Planet Fitness exercise plan ad on TV.

What we lost when we lost Floyd——
Summary in Wikipedia
Between 1997 and 2005, Floyd served eight jail terms on various charges, including drug possession, theft, and trespass.[10][19] In one of these cases, Floyd was convicted of possessing half a gram of crack cocaine in 2004 based on the sole testimony of police officer Gerald Goines. Later in 2019, Goines’ involvement in the Harding Street raid led to Goines being investigated for a pattern of falsifying evidence, resulting in the District Attorney of Harris County, Texas, requesting in April 2021 a posthumous pardon for this particular conviction of Floyd’s due to Goines’ lack of credibility.

In October 2021, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles recommended Floyd be pardoned for this conviction, but withdrew the recommendation (and also withdrew 24 other clemency recommendations) in December 2021 citing “procedural errors and lack of compliance with board rules”, while announcing that they would reconsider these recommendations.[43]

In 2007, Floyd faced charges for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon; according to investigators, he had entered an apartment by impersonating a water department worker and barging in with five other men, then held a pistol to a woman’s stomach and searched for items to steal.

Floyd was arrested three months later during a traffic stop, and victims of the robbery identified him from a photo array. In 2009, Floyd was sentenced to five years in prison as part of a plea deal, and was paroled in January 2013.

I have a question that leftists hate. I ask if the officer ( or officers ) are found guilty, will the rioters have to repair all of the damage they did and return all looted items ? I get BS responses or blank stares.

Google “The Fall of Minneapolis” and watch how the trial against the cops was a sham. George died from drugs, not asphyxiation from a knee. They had to convict the cops or all of Minneapolis would have burned.

It was a bad situation all around. Derek Chauvin was a dirty cop. George Floyd was a career criminal. The Democrats took advantage of the tragedy.

So it is probably not helpful for us to talk about what happened.

I'm with Vivek. He sees the best in America. That is what we should be looking at.

We have some baggage. So let's not get obsessed about that. And just move on.

More than likely Floyd died without Christ and met his Maker and was found wanting and was rejected and wound up in the lake of fire..
