Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that former President Donald Trump wanted to keep the U.S.-Mexico border a “mess.”

MARGARET BRENNAN: You’re talking about the bill you helped author, and- and it was put up for a vote, which, they knew it was going to fail, it- this was about messaging. But, like, Senator Gary Peters, who’s trying to help Democrats defend the majority in the Senate, was on this program last week, and he said absolutely, the president should be talking about the border more. Why isn’t he?
MURPHY: I agree that the American people want to talk about border security. And right now, the president has the opportunity to go out there and talk about a Democratic Party proposal negotiated with Republicans that would get the border under control. And a opponent President–

And that’s where the disconnect is. The liberals are so busy fighting a perceived political message that they are failing to identify the need to protect the population from its destruction. They have no messsge for allowing the entrance of numbers of people that will be a drain on our financial, educational, housing, and many other areas of our society while they try to get across that the conservatives are trying to stop that ruination. And half the population of the country doesn’t see it until it bites them on the keyster. And that has already started and will get worse.

The proposal he is referring to had nothing to do with getting the border under control. It had to do with allowing illegal aliens in still and more money to process them faster.

It’s a great theory, Chris - except for the fact that the border is the responsibility of the executive branch and could easily be fixed if the Biden administration wanted it fixed, regardless of what Trump and the GOP want.
No talk. What the American public wants is action. If Biden is not doing what he can now, and there is plenty he can do, why would we think he would do anything with the passage of the bill?
