It is sort of a "platform vs. publisher" argument...he ran the "Silk Road" platform...others sold the drugs. (I didn't look up the evidence in the case, but I think the argument is that he was not "dealing", just running the "marketplace").
I makes Trump look good and strong. Can you imagine Biden stepping into to this room?
Trump has promised to commute his sentence. He’s been in jail for 11 years. So maybe out after 12. There were claims that he directed murders, plus the drug deals, and more. A bad guy.
Trump has got guts. He’s not afraid to wade into hostile territory to make his case. Some in the crowd may have been swayed by him and some may not, but nobody can fault him for simply pandering. He said a lot of things that the crowd liked and a lot of things that they didn’t. But he didn’t alter his platform to please them. He stayed true to his agenda and made the argument that they have more to lose by not voting for him than they do if they vote for him.
Well stated.
Yes, he should do more of these. It was fantastic. Libertarians now have a problem, nominate a loser for 3% or endorse and support Trump. He laid it out nicely.
I see no difference. He was facilitating the sale of drugs, enriching drug dealers/cartels at the expense and endangerment of others.
:^)
They won’t get 3% anyway
RFK Jr. handed out rubber chickens yesterday. Some other dude gave out kazoos. Both for the purpose of protesting this speech.
Fortunately, no kazoos made it in
Rubber Chickens? Who do they think Trump is? Svengooli?.
Well you could NOT be so nasty about it. I was busy watching the speech and at the same time monitoring this thread on FR so I didn't feel like looking him up at the time.
Anyway, he mischaracterized what President Trump said. President Trump was NOT "making fun" of the Libertarians. That would be disrespectful, which he was NOT. He simply respectfully stated the fact they they could choose to support him and help defeat Biden or they could get their three percent by supporting some other Libertarian candidate.
So he was telling the truth. If that equates to “making fun” in Rugg’s mind then maybe he should be a member of the Snowflake Party (aka the Democrats) rather than the Libertarian Party.
Thank you.
👍
I just started watching it. As expected, he’s handling the crowd well so far. But, I’m reminded of something a woman said to me in 2016. Please excuse the language, but these were her words. She said she doesn’t agree with Trump on everything, but she said “that man has b#lls of steel.” I still laugh about that comment 8 years later.
Well... back to the video.
Of course Pres Trump was telling the truth.
The tweeter (Collin Rugg, who is a Trump supporter) worded it in his own way.
It was mocking the libertarians.
mock /ˈmɑːk/
to laugh at or make fun of (someone or something) especially by copying an action or a way of behaving or speaking
Some of the libertarians are booing Trump for saying he’ll close the southern border

Lol! I agree with your friend. In fact I was considering using similar language myself!
