A small Missouri town is up in arms after a local cop fatally shot a blind and deaf dog after he mistook is for a stray.
Tiny 13-pound Shih Tzu mix Teddy was tragically gunned down in Sturgeon, a town of just 900 people, on Sunday, leaving its owner Nick Hunter enraged.
In footage from KOMU of Hunter confronting police officer Myron Woodson, the emotional pet lover said: 'Was my dog a threat to you or anyone else?

> many police do not know their own internal policies let alone the Constitution <
I actually think they do know. They just don’t care. After all, they are protected by qualified immunity and layers of bureaucracy. So why not play the bully? Rarely are there any consequences for that.
In a way, it’s like an ambassador with low morals. He has diplomatic immunity. He can do whatever he wants with no fear of the consequences.
And I sure hate saying such things. I want to support the police 100%. But the bad ones are making that tough and tougher.
There was nothIng justifiable about an adorable, harmless little dog being brutally murdered by a worthless and ignorant Cretin.
I hope the dog’s owner sues this idiot into oblivion and the aforementioned idiot is run out of town. Destroy him.
People on here supported the murders of Daniel Shaver and Justine Damond.
They laughed about it? Sadistic
Don’t let ConservativeMind or whatever see that, they might get excited.
I agree. And I worked with cops for a couple decades. In this case, the idiot cop was too stupid in trying to snare the dog with a wire loop device. He tried and failed for like 10 minutes, poor training. I owned a Shih-Tsu, very small dog. This one was meandering slowly. So idiot cop then pulls his gun and shoots it twice, picks it up and tosses it into a bin like garbage.
Then he gets argumentative with the owner, with threatening talk. This cop should be fired.
You forgot people having seizures. It has happened and been reported on.
You’re a sick person.
BTW, the so called safe distance & the laughable ‘for our safety’ excuse by cops with guns is 25ft here in Florida. That’ll be fought in the courts here once ‘standing’ is established. I’m disappointed in DeSantis he’s the one that signed it.
About complaints, sooner or later they turn into red flags. Trust the trend!
The cop went home safe from his shift, that is all that matters, right?
Who would let a blind and deaf dog wander around town, especially without tags?
No!
Which is why I think the owner should have been shot, too.
</sarcasm>
I’ve seen a group of yahoos from Juvenile Probation eating breakfast at a local place dressed like they were outside the wire in Iraq.
Getting off topic a little.
How about cats.
Neighbor cats come in my yard day and night.
They have eaten wildlife, birds, rabbits, lizzards, ...
What might I do about them?
Compare with Teddy who escaped the fence.
handled as a stray.
= = =
Call Animal Control.
They do this.
Oh, a stray, like a ‘homeless’ dog.
So we can shoot stray humans?
The latest petition signatures on Change.org on Teddy’s shooting is 20,835 up from 16,600.
Can’t we cut him some slack with our outrage?
= = =
Nope.
The dog was white.
And rabid.
You know white kids are more likely to be rabid than blacks.
Look out.
When repelling Deer, I’ve heard of people spraying there garden with the urine of a predator, such as a wolf.
Maybe there are certain animals the domestic cat fears, such as Mountain Lions or Bears. I suppose you could try some version of that. Or set a few Rat Traps and bait with sardines or anchovies.
neighbor did not know it was a local dog
= = =
Yeah, it rode in on the bus from three states over, or maybe came accross the Rio Grande.
>>>Then he gets argumentative with the owner, with threatening talk. This cop should be fired.
Second that plus pays restitution.
So, are you really that obtuse?
Feed them. And maybe put out a few beds.
