Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., contends there are grounds to prosecute Dr. Anthony Fauci, the face of the COVID-19 pandemic in America, based on congressional testimony from a top aide to the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
“The most important knowledge that we learned is that [Dr.] David Morens, 20-year assistant to Fauci, was purposely evading FOIA, which is the law. More than that, he was also destroying evidence,” Paul told The Daily Signal, referring to the Freedom of Information Act and Morens’ testimony Wednesday before a House select subcommittee.
“He was taking emails and destroying them,” Paul said of Morens. “When he was asked about it, he said he didn’t know emails were federal records. Nobody is that stupid.”
Paul added later, referring to the veteran government immunologist and his staff: “If Fauci ordered you to destroy these records, I think he could be indicted.”
Morens, former senior adviser to Fauci at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, testified before the House Oversight Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The select committee said it had evidence that Morens obstructed the House investigation of the origin of COVID-19, deleted related federal records, and shared nonpublic information about the National Institutes of Health with Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance, a New York-based nonprofit.

With all respect to Rand who has been fighting this since day one, it will only happen if Fauci is deemed no longer useful to the revolution and is thrown to the dogs by the DS (cf. “Trotsky”)
Its also about who was behind it all as well, this was a concerted effort

Could be? Or will be? Until it’s done, headlines like this one is nothing more than click bait.
I am more optimistic about than you about Fauci facing consequences, but that entirely depends on Trump winning the whitehouse. Then all I would guarantee is that it is possible for him to face charges for his crimes (perjury, misuse of government funds) since any trial would most likely be in DC where getting a jury to convict a fellow bureaucrat is an uphill battle.
Two thoughts in regards to Covid and Former President Trump:
Trump is a known germaphobe.
Fauci is a gain of function scientist.
Why did Trump put Fauci in charge of the response?
Governments lie to the people all the time in pandemic or outbreaks. I have suspected Trump knew. At some point Trump also had to realize he had been scammed in regards to treatment options from hydroxy-ivermectin. Or did Trump get paid quite well for Operation Warp Speed shots?
We may never know the whole truth, but some people made a lot of money off the deaths and lockdowns.
Indicted? Whatever happened to “Wanted Dead or Alive” posters for killers?
The problem is that DOJ probably won’t prosecute it.
Birx was actually in charge of the response while Trump was president. Fauci was just a mouthpiece with some sway.
This is all just a small-pimple distraction, reinforcing a false narrative on the big butt of actual murder and authoritarianism.
He should have been indicted, tried, found guilty of murder and executed but nothing will happen. You know it and everyone else does as well.
Jared, arguably Trump’s handler in office (he admits to talking daily to Rupert Murdoch), may have also been his bagman, taking $2B from the Saudis heading out the door.
