I am not recommending bets. People lose money gambling all the time. This just reflects what some people believe. Abbott has good qualities but I’m not sure he has the razor tongue of a debater. Of course Kamala can probably remember her lines better than Biden but that’s not saying much.

Abbott just has to say that Harris was given the job of "border czar" while Abbott had the job of "border governor."

Abbott just has to say that Harris failed at finding the root causes of the border chaos while Abbott was closing the border with Texas.

Thank you for the correction. Yes, per the 12th amendment, if it goes to Senate, VP would need “a quorum ... of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice.”

Again, with thin electoral-college majorities pretty much the norm over the last quarter-century, i just don’t see either party living dangerously with a same-state ticket. Just not worth it.

I know that Abbott is right and Kamala is wrong. But they would debate in a media controlled presentation. When Trump debated Biden, Wallace repeated the "51 intelligence officers letter" lie as if he was the ultimate authority, and deceived some of the audience. Cut off Trump. I expect the media to try similar tricks this time.

I guess he thinks he has to debate because he challenged Biden, but they will try to ambush him.
