Abbott has good qualities but I’m not sure he has the razor tongue of a debater.

Abbott just has to say that Harris was given the job of "border czar" while Abbott had the job of "border governor."

Abbott just has to say that Harris failed at finding the root causes of the border chaos while Abbott was closing the border with Texas.

Abbott just has to say that Harris visited the border only once while Abbott is dealing with the border every day.

I know that Abbott is right and Kamala is wrong. But they would debate in a media controlled presentation. When Trump debated Biden, Wallace repeated the "51 intelligence officers letter" lie as if he was the ultimate authority, and deceived some of the audience. Cut off Trump. I expect the media to try similar tricks this time.

I guess he thinks he has to debate because he challenged Biden, but they will try to ambush him.
