Yes, taxes are a big part of it that they don’t want to talk about. Shell 91 is 70 cents cheaper in SC, a red state versus here in MD, a blue state where the governor is trying to emulate Gavin Newsom and turn MD in to the CA of the east coast. Can’t wait to move to SC full time.
Also, the regulations calling for fees upon methane gas upon the refineries is an additional cost being passed along to the consumer.
Our country was built upon cheap oil. Our GDP should be measured in BTU and no one else in the world has used fossil fuel units more efficiently than the US.

My red state is $2.98 for reg unleaded and something called 88 (octane) is $2.88. I run the good stuff and a high octane alcohol mix
