Contractors in Denali Park told not to fly U.S. flags

The crew working on a 475-foot-long bridge in Alaska’s Denali National Park was recently told by Denali National Park Superintendent Brooke Merrell that they could no longer fly the American flag from their trucks or heavy equipment, which are being used in the $207 million Federal Highway Administration project.

As a judge might say, is this an arbitrary and capricious decision? Is there a regulation, law, or prior court decision that the Denali National Park Superintendent can cite to justify this decision?

Otherwise, these people are on public land exercising their inherent rights protected by the first amendment.

The article says our National Park Service has a WHOLE WEB PAGE describing all the queer and alphabet flags they endorse!! Sure enough, it's true. I can't believe it.

The feds never should have changed the name from Mount McKinley.

Longtime Alaskans would disagree with you. It should never have been named after some dead white guy to begin with. While I disagree with how Obama restored it to its rightful name I'm glad the name we always used was finally acknowledged. Before the change only outsiders and short timers referred to it as McKinley.
