In a campaign stop in the Bronx, New York, former President Donald Trump named some of his possible vice presidential picks, a sign the list may be shortening.
In an interview with News 12 New York, Trump singled out Dr. Ben Carson, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) as top options on a list that has continued to grow.
“We have so many,” Trump said when asked about picks for vice president. “You could take people like Ben Carson, people like Marco Rubio, or J.D. Vance. I mean, there’s so many. Elise is doing a fantastic job, but I could go on for quite a long time. We have many people who would do a really fantastic job.”
When asked about the timeline, Trump said he would make a decision “sometime during the convention,” which is when presidential nominees typically announce their vice president. Trump has floated all of these names as picks for various reasons.

Please.. please...
No one that has ever been exposed to the deep state.
That means anyone currently in DC.
They are compromised.
Carson is too old and too nice.
JDV adds nothing to the ticket. He doesn’t bring in any votes from the middle
Rubio is too potentially Deep State compromised.
Stefanie is a maybe. Although she a bit late to the MAGA game. Not sure I trust her.
My faves would be Sarah Sanders, or Byron Donalds.
The VP choice MUST be someone who attracts voters from the middle.
We have to win the election. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. All other criteria are meaningless.
No, but can sure help out. Bryon could help with minority votes. I’ve been impressed every time I’ve heard him speak.
Isn’t Rubio a DSer? So my guess he gets the job.
We are agreed. B. Donald needs to be in his cabinet if not VP.
Yes, there are various problems such as you describe, with picking a vice president from the same state as the Presidential nominee.
So as a practical matter, presidential nominees and vice presidential nominees are always going to be from different states.
Character and integrity beyond reproach. He inspires confidence and trust. Unlike Pence, he will not undermine Trump. Again, I believe he has no further political ambitions. He stayed the entire four years with Tump and has been loyal ever since.
Vance and Carson for the win.
As long as they are willing to be the attack dog.
Dr Carson ….. Secretary of HHS - mandate to expose and destroy the corruption in the CDC & FDA …. implement his plan to for health saving funds the govt can’t touch …. destroy the big pharma/insurance cartel
Rubio ….. absolutely NO - a RINO/Deep State/ammesty wanting subversive trying to get inside to sabotage.
Stefanik ….. nope
Vance ….. one of the reasons for the East Palestine disaster is because of incompetent leadership founded in corporate Wall St /hedge fund policies. I’ve heard nothing about the damage WallSt/hedge funds do
Hence this doesn’t matter anymore. I get so tired of these posts.
No one respects Carson more than I do. But he’d be 77 when the term ended. Can we really
Not find someone who could be a practical heir and serve two terms?
Pres Trump didn’t come from the political machine, he doesn’t need to pick a VP from that so-called ‘talent pool’.
America needs a VP that is articulate, intelligent, and pragmatic. But, also an absolute barroom, back alley savage, fighter. A person that can kick someone in the throat then attend an event in their finest formal attire
Agree.
Picking General Flynn would ensure he won’t get JFK’d.
Agreed have been hoping all along for General Flynn, or Admiral Rogers.
The 12th Amendment only made sense when the president and vice-president were both candidates for the presidency. It’s curious that it’s never been updated.
Has Sanders made any public comment about Tyson wanting to fire all their American workers and replace them with illegals?
Dr.Carson is 72 years old. He will be too old to take over the reigns in 28.
“I think Trump just amuses himself putting out VP rumors. None of it is serious information.”
Exactly.
