Afterthought:

American soldierly discipline is not observed. Nobody salutes, uniforms are disheveled, boots are barely cleaned, posture is all over the place. My former Civil Air Patrol Cadets were superior on all counts.

But these folks are one thing: trained to kill the bad guys, and spare the rest.

Careful what you post, most of the Israeli war information has been shut down over the last few months, they are very tight-lipped, and want to give no information that tells what they are doing - or could be used against them by propagandists - other than KIA reports after the family is notified.

I'm currently reading a book titled "The Avengers: A Jewish War Story" by Rich Cohen. It is about a female relative of Cohen's who was part of a small band of resistance fighters in the Lithuanian ghetto of Vilna. When the ghetto is eradicated, these people headed to the forests where they joined Russian and Polish partisans destroying bridges, derailing trains, power plants, water works, etc. They fought along side the Red Army to drive the remaining Germans from Vilnius. Eventually their actions led them to Palestine.
