It isn’t really clear what you believe, especially in context of the viruses we’re discussing.

In posts 43, 49, and 54, you suggested that you believe this outbreak is man-made and deliberate; and yet you say you DON’T believe that past outbreaks were ‘man made’.

Covid 19 was a ‘novel’ virus, meaning that it had not been identified before. I guess that could leave room for shenanigans, but no matter what you believe of that episode, it doesn’t in any way prove that the same thing is happening again with this virus.

We already know this avian virus, and we have known it for a long time. The fact that it has jumped into mammal species isn’t new, either - it’s been found in the past in seals, ferrets, foxes, and more.

It killed 50 million poultry birds in 2014-2015 (mostly birds that were culled to stop the spread); and in 2022 even more birds died, at which time the disease began in wild birds. (I doubt very much that was ‘engineered’ to harm our food supply.)

Sometimes, bad things that happen are just natural.

"It isn’t really clear what you believe, especially in context of the viruses we’re discussing."

It's clear to me. And it really doesn't matter, because I haven't tried to change your mind or educate you regarding my beliefs, unlike you who feels it's necessary to provide a link to a video on YouTube, which by the way didn't "keep me busy" because I didn't watch it. At my age, I've got more important ways to use the time I have left on this earth.

What's the big deal if I believe that the current strain of avian flu is man-made or it isn't? Who is to say that the people who screwed around with Covid (Corona virus), and poisoned people with shots, won't do the same thing with avian flu? There's no guarantee that it couldn't happen. You act as if Covid never happened. Corona viruses have been recognized since the 1930's, but that hasn't stopped humans from playing with them. I don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to know that there are bad people out there who like to play with people's lives. We've already been down that road. I'm not naive, and I might have been born at night, but it wasn't last night.

I don’t think we have an argument as to whether Covid 19 may have been ‘manipulated’. We had never seen this particular Coronavirus before, and even some accomplished virologists found the genome puzzling - before they reversed their suspicions, for whatever reasons.

But that’s not necessarily true about every virus, including the current Avian one, which - again - we’ve seen before.

And of course what you may believe is no ‘big deal’; but when you post your beliefs on a forum that is read all over the world, you have to expect that people of differing opinions will respond, and some may have serious disagreements with you.

It was first described (Italy) in 1878...it was around before then:

I never said you or anyone else couldn't disagree with me. But I also have the right to reject other opinions too. Last thing I knew, people are supposed to have the right to their own opinions and beliefs, except when it came to Covid, and Donald Trump.

I'm almost 77 years old, and been here 26 years with the same screen name. Do you really think I care about my comments being seen around the world, or that they may welcome "serious disagreements"?

I’m not concerned with what you may ‘care’ about - that’s your personal affair.

I’m concerned with the facts, as we know them, regarding the current avian virus situation.

We’re both quite aged. I doubt you’d find either of us ‘pretty’.

"I’m concerned with the facts, as we know them, regarding the current avian virus situation."

You mean your facts as you know them, or perceive them to be.

Please tell us the ‘facts’ that you have about the current outbreak of avian ‘flu.

I haven’t seen you express any; you’ve only expressed your belief that bad people are ‘up to something’ because you believe they’ve done bad stuff in the past.

Is this an exam? If so, I'm not interested.

I was only repeating the sentiment of your own post 72.

If you can’t follow a logical train of argument, this is useless.

Have a nice holiday.

Why?

I didn't realize this was a homework assignment. And according to whose logic? Yours?
