Six years ago in a book prophetically entitled “Famine 1975,” William and Paul Paddock warned that world population growth was outstripping food production and that an international food crisis was probable by the middle of the decade.
...
It appears that the Paddock brothers’ prophecy for 1975 could begin to become a reality as early. as 1974.

‘I was around back then. There were two groups predicting the end of the world by 1975.

“information disorder”
Another 1984 euphemism from the Ministry of Truth word factory.
Information disorder is a global phenomenon that refers to the spread of misleading or harmful information in the digital environment.
It can include:
Misinformation: Sharing false information without intending to cause harm.
Disinformation: Sharing false information with the intent to cause harm.
Malinformation: Sharing genuine information with the intent to cause harm.

Math tends to ignore ideology.
The planet is not growing. There is not a 50% increase in the volume of the planet vs its volume 50 years ago.
It is finite. Stuff in it is also finite.
Most of population growth is in Africa right now, and it is getting fed with farming there. No, there was no order of magnitude jump in production of a particular seed. The growth is in how much land is producing stuff, and that happens for two reasons — synthetic fertilizer and oil.
Rock phosphate and nat gas makes fertilizer on a scale appropriate to the vast expanse of land devoted to growing food. And oil powers the tractors that get seeds planted on the 100s of thousands of acres before planting season expires. And then gets it harvested before winter rots it in the fields.
These items are finite because the planet’s size is finite.
Math doesn’t care about ideology.
So far.....😊👍
The US farmer can out produce anyone. In the 1930s depression and Dust Bowl, the US still produced so much food the FDR admin had millions of cattle and hogs bought up, shot and buried to get the price of food up, Up, UP!
Meanwhile people were starving because there were no jobs to earn money to buy food.
“Did the ghost walk?” was a common saying back then. It meant “Did you get paid?”
Today farmers have to fill out government forms to grow crops. I remember dad having to fill them out in our youth.
Keep the f*****g border open, NYT and we’ll have more and more to feed.
“ZPG”! I remember those days. I also remember another book declared “racist” but is coming true today.
CAMP OF THE SAINTS by Raspail.
Originally it was blacks from Africa overrunning Europe. After a screaming fit by critics he changed the invaders to Asian Indians.
Turns out its the moose-limb hordes + now. The ‘yoops’ are idiots. Heck, we’re idiots as well. 🤔
As a college freshman at the time, I happened to chat with the primary author of the report at a reception after his visit and speech on my campus. He confided that for some in their leadership, the report indicated a need for Nazi-style eugenics policies to assure that the smartest and best were given preference in reproduction and access to resources. The poor man was sincerely troubled about that but seemed unable to see that it was a logical extension of his report.
Over the years, the Club of Rome report and much else has suggested to me that if food and other resources are fundamentally inadequate and cannot be expanded to meet needs, it is only logical to centralize control over resources, distribute them to your control group and those they favor, and to favor their selective reproduction as well. Communism, fascism, the Marxist green agenda, and the party of Davos all have this logic.
Of course, America and enterprise capitalism repeatedly undo or find ways around limits to resources. This is part of why it is the enemy because it removes a potent practical argument in favor of power for Communists, fascists, Marxist environmentalism, and the Davos movement. I have known enough Jehovah's types to know that they are mostly all nice people with nutty religious views -- which makes them far better people than the adherents of those political movements that seek power over us.
I remember those days! Biggest scare we had was in October 1962 when the Cuban Missile Crisis was upon us. Pushed to the edge of nuclear war! Then it all blew over.
Suddenly it came back! TV programs were broken in to report that NORAD has seen an unidentified flying object coming in over the DEW Line! Was it Russian missiles? A sneak attack! The pucker factor was strong that night!
Then they showed a real chintzy copy of a photo of Santa Clause with cotton ball clouds flying by. It was Dec 24.
We could not decide whether to be relieved or mad for the scare given us.
A global nuclear war will cause a nuclear winter. Greenies, at least we have that going for us.

Does wheat make one fat and diabetic?
No. Overeating and under exercising makes one fat and diabetic.
Wheat has been around forever and the healthiest societies in the world are grain (and bean) based in their diets.
Americans don't seem to do much cooking or exercising anymore. Screens render them immobile and fast food and Door Dash render them obese.
And yes, I'm saying in general. Obviously, gluten intolerant people should forego the wheat with buckwheat, oats, barley, etc.
“Does wheat make one fat and diabetic?”
Unfortunately that is the case with today’s wheat.
