Russia knows there is a big difference between the U.S. and Ukraine. Ukraine is a much smaller target, and right next to Russia.

The big problem with your point of view is that one has to ignore the history of how this situation was created that took us to this point. In other words, one has to suspend disbelief to buy into the Democrat/MSM narrative.

The Ukrainian people were duped into supporting the entertainer Zelensky and to a slightly lesser amount his predecessor Petro Poroshenko. Zelensky ran largely on promises that he would keep the peace with Russia but instead immediately began adopting provocative policy and initiatives. Under his “leadership” the country went from the most corrupt country in the world to one of the most corrupt countries in history. Even George Soros bragged that he had more influence over Ukraine than any other country in the world.

Democrat and DC swamp leadership of course immediately began exploiting the corrupt government that Soros, the CIA and other Western intelligence agencies had created. Was it any surprise that they used their Ukrainian puppet, Zelensky to try and impeach President Trump?

Ukraine became a cash cow and money laundering machine for DC Swamp politicians. Various means were used to transfer tax-payer dollars to political cronies in the US and Europe for nonsense “jobs” setup for their relatives to cryptocurrency schemes such as Sam Bankman-Fried's FTX cryptocurrency exchange. And let's not forget the bio-labs and other questionable endeavors set up in Ukraine.

I don't really need to delve further into the finer details here... even those such as yourself who cheer on our continued decent toward WWIII is well aware of this entire pile of feces. What causes a bunch of peaknik leftist idiots such as AOC and the squad to become unashamed war mongers? Piles of cash and deep state political influence... enough to keep them in power for the foreseeable future.

This war has nothing to do with stopping Russian aggression and everything to do with sleight of hand to further entrench the politically correct lefty cadre of idiots who have been running the show since President Trump was cheated out of office. The fact that you and others choose to ignore the obvious displays only your gullibility and how easy it is to influence those who celebrate war and chaos as long as a flag is waived in front of it.

Your way of thinking fails the smell test. It STINKS!

Whatever happened in Ukraine under Zelenky or his predecessor, is not a good reason for Putin to invade. The Ukrainian people did not want Putin's invasion, and of course, neither did Zelenky.

If we're going to use excuses of wrongheaded policy as reasons that an invasion is warranted, then, the U.S. and most of Europe and many other countries around the world, would be asking to get invaded. That's such a stupid way of thinking. Zelenky and any other Ukraine president is temporarily in power, and what he says can be changed with the next president, and that's the way things work in most democracies. The reasons for war or invasions are many, but words and policies, are not excuses for allowing invasions.

If I was your neighbor and called you an effing idiot, would that be a reason for you to set my house on fire? Diplomacy does not mean that, words or policy changes can be used for starting wars or for invading. Whatever Zelenky said or did, is not reason enough for Putin to try to take over Ukraine.

Mexico is allowing our border to be invaded with people from all over the world... so, should the U.S. invade Mexico to try to take over that country? We have much bigger reasons to invade Mexico than Russia had for invading Ukraine.

What did Zelenky do to Russia in 2014 before Putin decided to invade and take over Crimea? What about the takeover in Georgia?

FACT is that, Putin has always stated that he wanted to reconstitute the Russian empire, or the USSR. What prompted him to say that, other than his stated ambition to restore the old USSR?

An aggressor country does not need an excuse to try to achieve its goals, and Putin/Russia will use the slightest of hints to go after its neighbors. As we speak, there are other countries worried about what Russia will do after the invasion of Ukraine is successor. What did those other countries do to Russia to be fearful of Russia taking them on next?

And, Putin's aggressive nature has been known for decades, and has nothing to do with Trump or Biden or anybody else being U.S. president. And whatever Zelenky said or did, was not affecting Russia, and Putin wanted the slightest of excuses to validate his invasion.

So, stop being so blind, and stop trying to rationalize Putin;s invasion. Only Putin would find your posts satisfying.
