Mike Johnson Backs Allowing Ukraine to Strike Russia with U.S.-Provided Weapons
Breitbart ^ | 05/22/2024 | SEAN MORAN

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Wednesday appeared to back allowing Ukraine to use American-provided weapons to strike Russia or Russian-controlled territory.

One reporter asked Johnson about a House Intelligence Committee letter calling on the Biden administration to allow Ukraine to strike Russia with American-supplied weapons.

The letter stipulates that this would allow Ukraine to strike “Russian-controlled territory” as well as Russian territory and represents a significant escalation in America’s seemingly endless proxy war against Russia.

There is a certain excusability in believing your own country’s propaganda. Believing a pseudo-communist state’s isn’t.

That was a world war. This is not. Big difference. Ukraine is a corrupt hellhole and it isn’t a democracy either.

We need to end this because it is not worth American blood and treasure.

This is not a world war yet. In fact, I can’t find any other calls to strike Russia with US weapons. If such notions became serious policy proposals, they could develop into a reversed Cuban Missile Crisis. Hard to determine, because the Breitbart article doesn’t explain exactly which weapons Z and Johnson might have in mind.

Ukraine’s been striking Russian military targets, such as refineries, in Russia for months now. Russia’s been striking civilian targets in Ukraine for two years, right from the getgo. So this is about nothing.

So this is about nothing.

Maybe it makes somebody feel better but I think you are right. Biden might get desperate and make a foolish policy change, but I haven't seen anything like that related to this story.

It’s fair for them to do it. It’s also very foolish for them to do it.

This is what they are using. They are already striking Russia with them and the US knew full well when they sent those missiles what Ukraine would do. Nuland is just a neocon attention seeking whore who would get all of us killed and not shed a tear.

Johnson is a compromised fool and a liar.

Your implication/suggestion that Ukraine was a ‘target’/simple takeover is stupid.

Well, Putin certainly thought that Ukraine would be a simple and takeover target, so, it looks like you're the one with the simple-minded stupid belief. Putin is smart, but he makes very stupid decisions, and if he listened to you, he would still make very stupid decisions. Ukraine has fought hard, and that's not something that crossed Putin's mind before he decided to invade.

A guy is getting mugged down the street, so, would he have the right to fight back and hurt the mugger, or should he just give up and let the mugger have his way?

Foolish is the kind of thinking you are doing.

That’s still stupid.
Putin never needed to think that Ukraine would be a simple takeover target; he, like all the world KNEW that it would have been had he gone in with the force he had available. He chose not to do so mistakenly believing that the US/UK that governs Ukraine would be rational.
But of course now you are going to spew deepState/vampiressVicky/CIA/MI6/OsamaBidementia bullSchiff

Oh, wow! You are so smart.

Think a little bit. I'll give you 1 hr to think.

Time's up!

Were you able to think at all???

I doubt it, since you didn't do so good with your initial assessments.

How the heck do you think world wars get started. Hint: by people believing that the little things or little wars won't get any bigger and hoping that the aggressors will just stop after they get what they were looking for and not bother anyone else. Shortsighted thinking is what causes little matters and little wars to get bigger and out of control.

Ukraine is not our problem, but then, when would it get to be our problem? Is it after Russia gets what they want, or after Russia feels emboldened to go after more? Russia and their despotic leaders have a history of not stopping at their own borders, or after stopping after a 'little conquest'.

We now have a very weak and clueless 'leader' in the U.S., and that's enough incitement for the aggressive countries to try to get what they've always desired or wanted. Happened very often in world history, and there's nothing to indicate that it won't happen again.

We stop them now, or we'll have to stop them later, but later means that, it's going to be many times more costly, in treasure and body-count and in destruction of assets.

But, keep thinking with a short-mind. Nothing's going to happen if you just ignore things or turn a blind-eye and forget the history of mankind. W

Wow, Russia is firing US rockets into Ukraine?!?

who the heck said that? Not me, so, go back and re-read what was posted, by me and others.

Well, then I suppose your two-way street scenario makes sense.

The two-way street is about doing unto others what they do unto you, especially when it comes to wars. Is that a concept that's too deep for you to understand? You don't allow an aggressor to just get away with what he wants to do to you, or you'll be getting more of that evil in your life and the life of others. Fighting back or defending yourself is built into you. and not doing so is going to turn your life into a living (or dead) hell.

Theh U.S. took on the roll of the world's policeman when they entered WWII, and we're stuck with that position. We either help or join the fight, or the fight will be brought into our shores and into our mainland.

Fight now and/or help now, or we'll be in the same position as Ukraine is now. History teaches many lessons, and we had better learn from those lessons.
