“Here, these are the girls who can get pregnant.”

This is video footage depicting the horrific kidnapping of 5 female Israeli hostages: Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Daniela Gilboa and Naama Levy.

They have been held hostage by Hamas terrorists for more than 230 days (8 months).

The families of Liri, Karina, Agam, Daniella and Naama have approved the release of the footage to raise awareness about the horrors their daughters are facing as hostages in Gaza

It has nothing to do with ‘defense.’ You’re just a one-track mind zealot, IMO.

Nothing in this post is about Russia. You Zeepers think of nothing other than Russia.

Quit infecting every article with your Ukraine retardness.

... one of a long line of wicked incompetent Democrat presidents but not the first.

Certainly not. That severe condemnation goes to the publicly proud racist, Woodrow Wilson, although LBJ gave Wilson a run for his money as a racist president.

“Nothing in this post is about Russia.”

Sorry, there are at least three articles already posted on FR about the Russia-Hamas relationship. You do not get to silence or censor any further discussion of facts that are already stipulated here.

“”””My original point was that countries sometimes have evil dictators/countries as allies in times of war.””””

It matters who their enemy is.

Russia’s buddies are Hamas, Communist China, Communist North Korea, Iran, who is Russia’s enemy?

Before we went into Kosovo, Russia wasn’t all that buddy-buddy with any of them. They still have some contention with Red China about some eastern territory.

We have been pretty buddy-buddy with the ChiComs (if they stopped selling us stuff, how long would our supply chains hold up?), the Iranians (Obama’s sweet heart deal sending billions in cash and NOT shutting down nuke development), Hamas (we brokered the deal that allowed them to develop in the first place).

It doesn’t make Russia a good guy, but alliances with bad guys by itself may only be a pragmatic play. Our instigation to foment color revolutions may make some folks antsy enough to make their alliances where they can find them.

Our foreign policy over the last three decades has made more problems than it has fixed.

Nonsense, those are Russia’s buddies and nothing changes, and when they are involved in wars, Russia helps them, and vice versa, you have seen it since perhaps before you were born but at least all your life and you are seeing it now, those countries have an enduring relationship and underlying commonality with Russia.

Russia is interested in expanding territory, access to warm water ports, and satellite buffer states.

They are civil with Red China because they border each other, and both have nukes and large armies. The USSR intended for Red China to be a Jr. puppet after the Chicom revolution, but Mao figured he didn’t have to take orders from Moscow (and even Ho Chi Minh!) and established the Communist “heresy” of “Socialism in One Country”, which is contrary to Marxism.

Allies are not the same as buddies. Common interests does not mean friendship.

Yet generation, after generation, there they are, buddies, working against their common enemy and even fighting shoulder to shoulder against it in wars.

Megan C is queen of the Zeepers. All discussions, no matter how unrelated, eventually lead to Russian hate or Zelensky lust. Her dehumanizing tag line reflects her despicable character.

Wow, WWII? and we weren’t buddies, it was a deal with the devil to fight Hitler, it was very limited and only for that short lived purpose.

Don’t be so desperate to defend Russia and Hamas and the rest of their little team.

FDR called Stalin “Uncle Joe” and Truman ceded half of Europe at Yalta.
That is at least an alliance.

I am not thrilled with Russia, but Zelensky is bad news.

As a Catholic, I know a Russian takeover of Ukraine would not be good for Ukrainian Catholics. I know the USSR starved millions if Ukrainians on purpose.

I don’like half a million men from both sides dying when the end result will not be materially different than ig Ukraine settled before the bulk of the war.

I do not see it as being in anyone’s legitimate interest to expand NATO.

I do not see authoritarian Russia as being identical with Communist run USSR.

You sure work hard at this America and Russia buddies thing with your pleasantry about Stalin and the free world not being strong enough to free the rest of Europe from the Russian grasp in the long ago WWII period.

You were the one that said “generation after generation”. My parents are still alive, and they were around for our alliance with the USSR.

Good Lord man, we have all heard about 1941-1945, and what we had to do during those 4 years when we had to help the Russians maintain pressure on Hitler after Russia broke up with him.

Hamas, Iran, Red China, Red North Korea, are Russia’s buddies and nothing changes, and when they are involved in wars, Russia helps them, and vice versa, you have seen it since perhaps before you were born but at least all your life and you are seeing it now, those countries have an enduring relationship and underlying commonality with Russia.

My point is that sometimes countries make alliances with bad countries. The US has also made alliances with bad actors out of stupidity or worse. We also abandon allies at the wrong time. With originally tried to do business with Castro . . . bad idea, he wasn’t an agrarian reformer. He was a commie. We abandoned Diem in Vietnam because we thought he was a political liability. Also bad idea. Things went downhill from there.

Your point is that USSR/Russia makes alliances consistently with bad actors in peace and war.

I am not going to make a distinction between allies and buddies. I think there are only alliances, and no permanent ones.

I think Putin is some good mixed with a lot of bad. I wouldn’t trust him with a ring off my finger. I do NOT think that Russia equals the USSR (regional versus worldwide hegemony, nationalism versus Marxism).

I think Zelensky is a bad guy who happens to be the political head of a country that needs someone better. I am doubtful about the legitimacy of his position. I despise the fact that Ukraine has been a tool for Biden.

I cannot imagine a scenario where Russia does NOT get the Russian speaking portion of Ukraine. I believe this war has weakened both countries greatly, and that the world is worse for those hundreds of thousands of killed soldiers.

“”””Your point is that USSR/Russia makes alliances consistently with bad actors in peace and war.””””

That isn’t my point, it is the same buddies and the same shared enemy.

My point is what I have posted “those are Russia’s buddies and nothing changes, and when they are involved in wars, Russia helps them, and vice versa, you have seen it since perhaps before you were born but at least all your life and you are seeing it now, those countries have an enduring relationship and underlying commonality with Russia.”
