It’s the battleground-state polling that should be most alarming to Team Biden for the simple reason that he is consistently trailing in three Sun Belt states (Arizona, Georgia, Nevada) that were crucial to his 2020 win. If they (along with another competitive southern state, North Carolina) appear out of reach for the incumbent later in the campaign season, his path to victory may depend on a sweep in three highly competitive Rust Belt states: Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

And, controlling the executive branch of each of these three rust belt states, the Democrats will be tempted to step up their Get Out the Vote effort among the dead and other illegal voters.
Trump does well to expand the field.
With the other states in which he is leading, Trump is one Electoral Vote short of 269 and a tie in the Electoral College. That one EV could come from Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District. Most pundits consider that district to be a toss-up.
(Psst: It would be good if the extreme left-wing candidates of Cornell West and Jill Stein are on the ballot in Nebraska.)
Plus, Trump is within two points of Biden in Minnesota and Maine-at large. Trump should target those states.
And this is something that is really, really big. Virginia. Trump is within three points of Biden in the Old Dominion, and can immediately put this state into play by naming our governor, Glenn Youngkin, his running mate.
Another state that could come into play is New Hampshire, where a recent poll indicates the state is currently tied. While suggestive, it's only one poll.
Youngkin would help solidify the Republican Party, which would help in the crucial states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and also in New Hampshire and Maine, in addition to his own state of Virginia.
And, by spreading the field, the Democrats won't be able to concentrate their resources on a few states only. Indeed, with up to ten competitive Senate races, several competitive Governor races, and several dozen competitive House races, the Democrats will have to consider salvaging what they can in downticket races.
It is possible Trump and the Republicans will score a big, smashing victory this fall, enabling Trump to govern effectively and really Make America Great Again.
Thousands of cheat-by-mail-in ballots in selected Democrat strongholds will once again give Biden the 'win.'

Everyone’s giddy with the polls. If there were a clean election Trump would win in a landslide. I don’t think the deep state will allow it.
On the other hand, the deep state might play the long game and allow Trump to win, knowing its only 4 years and they can harrass the administration enough to disable them. Then, after 4 years, they’ll have a clean path to single party power.
Republicans should be changing thr Nebraska eletoral vote so the Rat strategy will net them 269.
There is ZERO chance Biden can sweep the Rust Belt.
The most probable path, and not very likely , that would allow Biden to stay in office would be Dems hold AZ and only lose WI in the rust belt..
If AZ is lost by Dems (which it looks like it will handily be) only path is to hold all the rust belt and that is not possible for Biden.
However by Election Day, unless something drastically changes, the discussion will no be “will Joe Biden lose?” It be just how many states Biden is going to llose and how bad down ballot is going to be for the Dems.

All but the newest voters have lived both guys as president and by every single measure Trump’s administration was far better. Biden, with RFK on the ballot will struggle to be at 35-40% nationally by November unless something drastically changes.
I am not sure we should believe polls so unquestioningly this time. A bit jarring that after decades of mocking polls, everyone here has become a poll fan.
We are fans of these polls , because Trump is doing well in the polls recently. We want to be cautiously optimistic that this will translate into a victory in the election.
