SOME DETAILS:

The proposal would, for the next three years, bar businesses earning $1 million or more from deducting operating losses from their taxes while also limiting business tax credits. The provisions are projected to cost California businesses about $18 billion through 2027, although they wouldn’t take effect if tax collections beat expectations. Such a scenario appears unlikely, however, given that California’s tax revenues are massively down thanks to a stagnating economy and exodus of both high-earning residents and businesses.

Newscum inherited a $100 billion budget surplus from Governor Moonbeam in 2019. He blew through that, went $70 billion in the hole, and now will raise taxes. It's good to see Californians get exactly what they voted for.

As Democrats like to say, “his position evolved” over time on the position of not raising taxes.

A Democrat promising not to raise taxes needs to include a time frame as it is something they are not serious about.

businesses earning $1 million or more from deducting operating losses

Does that mean gross revenues of $1 million or more? I'm trying to figure out how a business can have positive earnings and operating losses at the same time.

...the governor repeatedly pledged he would not raise taxes to solve the budget crisis...

So?

The truth is, HE can't.

It's the REST of the fools that got voted into office that can!
