President Trump was back in a Manhattan court on Monday in Alvin Bragg’s Soviet-style ‘hush money’ lawfare trial.
The prosecutors earlier Monday rolled out their ‘star witness’ Michael Cohen, a convicted perjurer, to take the witness stand.
Cohen shocked the public when he admitted he stole tens of thousands of dollars from Trump and lied to Trump Org. CFO Allen Weisselberg.
After the prosecution rested their case, Trump’s defense team called attorney Robert Costello to the witness stand.

Who was it that said in response to a judge asking him if he was showing contempt for the court replied “no, I’m trying to hide it”.
After he did not get the answer he wanted he kept asking the same question with different words - very skilled.
I recognized the play and kept telling the moderator I've already answered that. The guy was a bull dog but I bested him and never budged.
IIRC, the same was said about Judge Engoron. That seems to be a rather unusual coincidence. What could they be hiding that a proper birthdate would reveal ??? Problems with their SSN ?

I practiced law and appeared before many judges in my career. I also clerked for a Superior Court judge for over a year. This type and scope of behavior from the bench was never seen in all my years of practice. Merchan is supposed to be the role model for professionalism in his courtroom but he most certainly misses the mark.

However, on Warroom yesterday one spokesman chatting with Steve Bannon claimed that if our side took 34% of the vote in the region the rest of the state would go for Trump and Republicans would win NY.
Problem there is that some Republican areas have become experts at grabbing defeat from the arms of victory.
NY seems to be in play we shall see what happens.
From what I hear many attorneys don't join the bar any more. Appears its been compromised as well.

Costello is no conservative. But, he is a smart lawyer and wants no part of judge juan who will only make NYC look even worse than it does now.
